We are seeking a dedicated Marketing Specialist to support Thermo Fisher's Corporate Marketing and Digital Communications team. This role focuses on AI-powered initiatives to enhance our digital presence and adapt to changing customer behavior. The candidate will aid in AI integration, deliver personalized scientific information, and train the team on AI tools, ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
A day in the life
- AI Strategy Support: Assist in implementing generative AI technologies for content creation, customer interactions, and engagement strategies across digital channels. Support the team in developing approaches that apply AI to reach customers on social platforms, communities, and through conversational interfaces.
- Emerging Technology Exploration: Help test and evaluate new applications of AI, machine learning, and automation that can transform how Thermo Fisher delivers scientific information. Participate in pilot programs testing innovative AI approaches across YouTube, LinkedIn, and other platforms used by our scientific community.
- AI-Enhanced Content Coordination: Support the creation and organization of AI-generated and AI-augmented content while ensuring scientific accuracy and brand adherence and optimization for digital channels. Help maintain frameworks for using generative AI to scale communications while preserving brand voice and technical precision.
- Cross-Channel Coordination: Assist with implementation of AI tools across social media, community platforms, and digital touchpoints to support cohesive customer and colleague experiences. Monitor systems that use AI to identify customer needs, deliver relevant scientific information across channels, and ensure brand governance
- Collecting and Reporting Metrics: Assemble analytics data to measure the efficiency of marketing initiatives using AI and how they influence customer engagement. Compile reports and help identify trends to support strategic decision-making process.
Keys to Success
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field with curiosity in artificial intelligence and digital innovation
Experience
- 0-3 years of proven experience preferred.
- Basic familiarity with generative AI concepts and tools, with eagerness to learn more about their applications in marketing
- Understanding of digital platforms and social media from a user perspective
- Familiarity with the scientific or life sciences industry is a plus, but not required

- Basic analytical skills with attention to detail and data organization
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work successfully with team members and business partners
- Strong learning orientation and adaptability in the constantly evolving field of AI marketing
