We are seeking a visionary and results-driven GM, Mega Projects leader to drive our entry into the rapidly evolving data center market in the Americas. This role will be responsible for building and scaling our presence in this high-growth sector, developing the go-to-market strategy, and driving cross-functional execution across product, sales, marketing, and operations.
As the strategic and operational leader for this growth initiative, the GM Mega Projects leader will define the roadmap, establish key partnerships, and ensure the business achieves its revenue, profitability, and market share goals.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties

  • Profit and Growth Responsibility:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to establish and grow the presence in the data center market, including competitive positioning and customer segmentation
  • Business Leadership and Execution
    • Own the P&L for this vertical and collaborate cross functionally, including sales, product management, supply chain and marketing, to drive NPD execution and action of the strategy while managing the budget and ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Customer Engagement and Market Intelligence:
    • Build relationships with key customers, strategic partners and industry influencers to identify trends and opportunities and establish a reputation in the market.
    • Monitor market needs, trends, and competitor intelligence around technologies and competitive dynamics and leverage this knowledge to inform business strategy and decision-making.
  • Matrix Management and Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Build strong working relationships across functional teams at Watts, ensuring alignment and dedication of resources to support the execution of strategies.
    • Utilize the voice of the customer and incorporate and work closely with NPD teams to define market-driven solutions tailored to the needs of data center operators and infrastructure providers.
    • Work with Sales and Marketing to develop a go-to-market strategy that ensures sufficient and effective sales resource allocation.

Experience and Required Skills

  • Experience
    • Data Center industry, including applications and technology knowledge.
    • 10+ years of experience leading and/or influencing teams.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
    • Experience working in a matrixed environment with cross-functional teams, particularly in Product Management and Engineering.
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Hands-on leadership style with a strategic vision, break-through mindset, strategic account skills, channel relationship prowess and the ability to drive execution.
    • Demonstrated success in leading teams through the development and implementation of growth strategies, with a focus on innovation and the end user.
    • Strong influencing skills and ability to manage teams, both onsite and virtually across several locations.
    • High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on team building and collaboration.
  • Innovation and Market Focus
    • Proven track record of launching or scaling a business unit or vertical in a new market.
    • Strong understanding of market segmentation with a heavy focus on the end user and competitive intelligence in the data center space.
  • Additional Requirements
    • Strong financial acumen
    • Willingness to travel (approximately 50%).
    • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite and strong computer literacy
  • Pay Range   The expected salary range for this position is $235,000- $288,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
