Job Overview
You will be responsible for recording daily financial transactions, handling accounts payable and receivable cycles, preparing financial analysis and reports, assisting with budgeting and audit preparations, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and making recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures, including preparing monthly bank reconciliations.
As the General Accountant, you will be in charge of:
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals.
- Prepare and process vendor payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Prepare and send customer invoices.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
- Reconcile customer accounts.
- Journal entries preparation and posting.
- Account reconciliations (bank, credit card, etc.).
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for all journal entries.
- Assist in Audit process.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of various tax returns (sales tax, income tax, etc.).
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, English section is a must
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a General Accountant
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software, NetSuite is a plus
- Strong attention to details
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and database
- Fluent English is required
