Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain software solutions that meet high standards of performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to scope, architect, and execute technical solutions.
- Review and improve code for clarity, maintainability, and alignment with project goals and coding standards.
- Debug and resolve technical issues across the stack.
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented code.
- Communicate effectively in asynchronous and real-time channels, providing regular status updates and flagging risks early.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in engineering best practices, workflows, and tools.
Qualifications
- Proven experience developing software in one or more of the following programming languages: JavaScript/React, Python, PHP, Kotlin or Swift.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, version control, and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, APIs, and modern development frameworks.
- Ability to write well-structured, testable, and maintainable code.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, distributed environment.
- Enthusiastic about solving problems, learning new tools, and collaborating across disciplines.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with containerization and DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
- Background in UX, data engineering, or cybersecurity.
- Open-source contributions or public portfolios of work.
