SAIC is looking for a Database Engineer to support the Electronic Warfare Data Systems (EWDS) program for the Airborne Electronic Attack Integrated Product Team (AEA IPT) located at NAWC Point Mugu, California.

What You'll Do:
As a Database Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring data integrity, automating processes, and modernizing legacy systems. You’ll:
- Develop front-end (client-side) interfaces to assist the other functional teams manage and improve the EWDS database
- Leverage SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps daily
- Write complex, dynamic SQL queries for sophisticated relational databases
- Design, develop, test, and debug advanced software applications
- Create backups, restore data, and implement solutions to prevent data loss
- Develop stored procedures to streamline manual processes for the team
- Modernize technical debt by developing innovative database solutions for outdated processes
Required Experience:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years or more experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Software: React/JS, Contact API, VS, VSCode, NGINX, C#, Python
- Strong history of using JS/Type Script for Dashboard creation
- Version Control & Code: Git
- Collaboration & Project Management: JIRA, Azure Devops, SharePoint
- Understanding of document object model (DOM), front end limitations, state management, UI/UX design, REST architecture, JavaScript Object Notations (JSONs)
- Software development kits and Libraries: Material UI (Paid version), Redux
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile project management principles (e.g., sprints and user stories)
- A basic understanding of Electronic Warfare (EW) and Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) missions is preferred but not required
Clearance Requirement:
- Active Interim Secret security clearance is required to begin work
