Role Overview
As a Manager on the International Engineering Team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and leading a team of talented engineers focused on building and shipping high-quality products at scale. In this role, you will embody our Leadership Capabilities by maintaining a focus on customer impact, fostering open communication and cross-team collaboration, and embracing an iterative approach to both product development and team management.
Examples of potential project opportunities include collaborating with API engineers to build new user flows for new International products, designing and implementing A/B tests on consumer and dealer product initiatives, and redesigning high-traffic pages to leverage modern technologies like Remix to improve user experience.

Who You Are

  • Proven experience of 2+ years in managing and growing teams of full stack engineers focused on building and shipping products at scale.
  • Minimum of 5 years of extensive hands-on software design and frontend development experience in TypeScript/JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS.
  • Experience with full stack development with Remix, express, next.js or similar.
  • Experience thriving in cross-functional environments where you have demonstrated rigorous thinking and effective decision-making.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.


What You'll Do

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers through architecture and design guidance, coaching, and hands-on collaboration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across product, design, and infrastructure stakeholders to ensure alignment on projects and objectives to optimize impact on international customers.
  • Engage in hands-on coding with frontend technologies such as Remix, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, and React Testing Library.
  • Build reusable and scalable architecture while upholding high engineering standards and implementing and evolving best practices.
  • Own problems from end-to-end, managing diverse systems, processes, and technologies to optimize efficiency and user experience.

  • Recruit and retain top engineering talent in partnership with the recruiting team to maintain a diverse and high-performing team.
