Halcyon was formed in 2021 by a team of cyber industry veterans after battling the scourge of ransomware (and advanced threats) for years at some of the largest global security vendors. Comprised of leaders from Cylance (now Blackberry), Accuvant (now Optiv), Fireye and ISS X-Force (now IBM), Halcyon is focused on building products and solutions for mid-market and enterprise customers.

- Contribute to feature development across our security platform's user interface, including dashboards, SOC analyst tools for alert triage, andasset management systems
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to align on solutions and product requirements.
- Develop, test, deploy, and monitor React-based frontend applications that are reliable, secure, and performant.
- Support and enhance our client-side rendered React architecture, ensuring consistency and performance.
- Maintain high standards for code quality, documentation, and operational reliability.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and incident response.
- 3–6 years of frontend engineering experience, with recent experience in a React-based codebase.
- Familiarity with modern React patterns (hooks, functional components) and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of modern web technologies, state management, and build tools (Vite, Webpack).
- Experience building applications in a cloud-native environment, preferably with modern hosting platforms.
- Working knowledge of modern CSS frameworks.
- Comfortable working in a remote-first, asynchronous team environment.
- Experience with Material-UI (MUI), Emotion, or similar component libraries.
- Familiarity with TanStack Query (AKA react-query)
- Experience with React Hook Form for form handling and validation.
- Prior work in security products, data visualization, or high-availability systems.
- Experience with Playwright for E2E testing.
- Experience with AWS, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of authentication systems and role-based access control.

Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $170,000
In accordance with applicable state and federal laws, the range provided is Halcyon’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity in the Company.
