FP&A Solutions Analyst
At Adyen, FP&A is not just about tracking financials - it’s about driving momentum. We work across the business to bring clarity, challenge assumptions, and help teams make better decisions faster.
We’re now looking for an FP&A Solutions Analyst to own our financial statement planning models in Pigment (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and raise the bar on data quality, automation, scenario analysis and scalable forecasting across Finance. This role sits at the intersection of finance, data, and systems: you’ll build the foundation that helps us predict the future with confidence.
What you’ll do- Own Pigment for P&L / Balance Sheet / Cash Flow: build, maintain, and improve the core models, structures, and drivers used by FP&A and Finance.
- Fix data at the root: identify recurring issues in Pigment outputs and trace them back through Looker/LookML and Data Core tables (in partnership with Data Core owners). Drive fixes in source definitions, mappings, and pipelines - then lock it in with automated validation checks so we don’t repeat the same issues next cycle.
- Scale automation: streamline forecast cycles and reporting deliverables via automated workflows (data loads, checks, reconciliations, approvals, versioning).
- Build forecasting capability: work cross-functionally across Finance, Data, and key business teams to scale forecasting in Pigment beyond spreadsheets. Align inputs and definitions, drive adoption through clear workflows and enablement, and deliver repeatable scenarios and stress tests that are decision-ready.
- Create standards and governance: define model conventions, mappings, documentation, access controls, and change management so Pigment scales cleanly.
- Partner across Finance and Data: work closely with Accounting, Treasury, Business Control, and Data/Engineering to align on definitions, reconciliations, and reporting quality.
- Drive “cool projects” that matter: from balance sheet forecasting improvements to regulatory reporting scale, you pick up high-impact projects and deliver outcomes.
- Drive forward-looking resilience: Lead the technical execution of scenario analysis and (regulatory) stress testing. You will build models that simulate economic shocks and stress events, ensuring Adyen remains resilient in all market conditions.
- You bring 2-6 years of experience in FP&A, finance analytics, finance systems, BI/data, or similar roles.
- You understand how P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow connect - and you can build models that reconcile and hold up under scrutiny.
- You are strong in data: you can structure datasets, validate logic, and build controls (SQL and a data modeling mindset are a big plus).
- You like owning a platform: you improve performance, reliability, governance, and user experience - not just the output.
- You translate complexity into simple solutions people actually use. You take ownership, move fast, and work well across teams and you are very curious!
- You understand the basics of scenario analysis and stress testing. You know the mechanics of how a balance sheet absorbs shocks and you can translate abstract risk scenarios (e.g., market volatility or operational shocks) into concrete movements across the P&L and Balance Sheet.
Pigment experience is a strong plus - if you don’t have it yet, you have the ambition and track record to become an expert quickly. Experience with tools like Looker, data warehouses, APIs/ETL, or other planning tools (Anaplan/Adaptive/Jedox) is a plus.
