Northern Bank is looking for an experienced finance professional to join our team as an FP&A Senior Analyst. In this role, you will work with the Controller Finance to manage the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. This position is critical in providing valuable insights and analytics to key stakeholders within the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Northern Bank is looking for an experienced finance professional to join our team as an FP&A Senior Analyst. In this role, you will work with the Controller Finance to manage the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. This position is critical in providing valuable insights and analytics to key stakeholders within the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist with managing and facilitating the annual budget process.
- Partner with business unit leaders to understand key drivers, validate assumptions, and ensure alignment with strategic initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver monthly budget-to-actual variance analyses as well as other financial models.
- Support the development of board materials and executive presentations.
- Acts as a key player in real-time financial performance monitoring on a monthly basis. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to support decision making.
- Collaborates with a wide range of team members at Northern Bank, including lines of business and other senior members of accounting, and treasury teams.
- Streamline financial reporting processes and improve efficiency through automation and best practices.
- Champion continuous improvement in forecasting, planning and analytical tools.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across financial systems and reports.
- 5-7 years’ experience in a Senior Financial Analyst capacity; experience with commercial banking a plus.
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Demonstrates excellent financial and quantitative skills.
- Communicates effectively and has good presentation abilities.
- Collaborates well with colleagues and can relate to various levels of management.
- Works well independently and can work on projects with minimum direct management.
- Shows ability to build strong working relationships and is developing leadership skills.
- Quick learner with strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Demonstrates knowledge of financial reporting systems, experience with Axiom a plus.
The salary range for this position is $100000 - $130000 per year
