About Telnyx

Telnyx is an industry leader that's not just imagining the future of global connectivity—we're building it. From architecting and amplifying the reach of a private, global, multi-cloud IP network, to bringing hyperlocal edge technology right to your fingertips through intuitive APIs, we're shaping a new era of seamless interconnection between people, devices, and applications.

We're driven by a desire to transform and modernize what's antiquated, automate the manual, and solve real-world problems through innovative connectivity solutions. As a testament to our success, we're proud to stand as a financially stable and profitable company. Our robust profitability allows us not only to invest in pioneering technologies but also to foster an environment of continuous learning and growth for our team.

Our collective vision is a world where borderless connectivity fuels limitless innovation. By joining us, you can be part of laying the foundations for this interconnected future. We're currently seeking passionate individuals who are excited about the opportunity to contribute to an industry-shaping company while growing their own skills and careers.

The Role

Telnyx is looking for a smart, strategic, and collaborative FP&A Manager who’s ready to step into the arena and help shape the future of the company. This is not a maintenance role. It’s a chance to influence strategy at the highest level, working directly with the CEO and COO to determine where we double down and where we walk away. We want someone who is gritty, fast-moving, and thrives on ownership. Someone who sees ambiguity as opportunity and complex decisions as challenges to win. In this role you will serve as a thought leader, guiding long-term planning, scenario modeling, and high-impact decisions that drive scalable growth. This role is for someone who wants to build, lead and learn fast.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning that’s not just accurate but persuasive, concise and forward-looking.
  • Design and deliver high-impact models and scenario plans to guide product, GTM and hiring strategy.
  • Proactively surface insights, risks, and opportunities before leadership asks; owning the “why,” not just the “what.”
  • Identify areas of underperformance, inefficient spend, or misaligned investments, and recommend decisive change.
  • Champion the adoption of AI and advanced analytics to streamline FP&A workflows, enhance accuracy, and proactively surface insights at scale.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing and Product to shape the company’s GTM financial strategy.
  • Develop board and exec-level presentations that clearly convey risk, opportunity and ROI.

What we are looking for

  • 4+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or strategy roles with a strong command of modeling and analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Exceptional Excel/Google Sheets skills, Power BI, Anaplan, Tableau or advanced planning tools a plus.
  • Excited by ambiguity, fast pace, and big questions with no obvious answers.
  • Deep curiosity and grit. You’re eager to grow, push the business forward and own high-stakes outcomes.
  • Prior experience supporting GTM or product orgs financially is highly desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication. You're as comfortable pitching a strategic shift as you are reviewing a model.

Bonus Qualities

  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and IFRS
  • Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar tools
  • Experience working with a fast-paced, high-tech start-up or complex company

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
