Lead the 0->1 product efforts to build a Life Sciences vertical for pharma and medical device manufacturers. This is a fully remote role within the United States.

About the Role

We are seeking a voraciously curious, systems-minded Senior/Staff Product Manager to build our Life Sciences product vertical from the ground up. This is a founding product role: you will define the strategy, ship the first products, and lay the foundation for a durable new line of business serving pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. You will partner closely with a dedicated GM/subject-matter expert—but as a true peer, not a student. This role requires subject matter expertise in life sciences commercialization and manufacturer contracting in your own right—chargebacks, rebates, gross-to-net, formulary, and coverage.

Qualified candidates bring a rare mix of 0→1 product ownership in a complex industry, deep fluency in the manufacturer data and contracting landscape, an intense focus on customers and eagerness to engage with them, and the inventiveness to build something where nothing existed before. If you are a systems-thinker who thrives in ambiguity and is passionate about solving complex problems that drive economic change, we invite you to join our dynamic team.

Why this Role Matters

Turquoise has built the most comprehensive picture of negotiated rates and contract data in US healthcare. Life sciences is the next frontier: pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers sit at the center of how drugs and devices are priced, contracted, and paid for, and bringing transparency to that economy is core to our mission to eliminate financial complexity and rebuild trust in US healthcare. This role owns that expansion end to end—what you build becomes the backbone of an entirely new business at Turquoise.

What You'll Do
  • Own the 0→1: define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Life Sciences vertical, from first customer conversations through first shipped products and early revenue.

  • Partner with the GM/SME as a peer—co-owning the commercial motion while holding the product line and translating market access and contracting knowledge into a concrete, sequenced product plan.

  • Develop and defend your own domain point of view across manufacturer economics—chargebacks, rebates, gross-to-net, formulary, and coverage—and use it to make sharp prioritization calls.

  • Relentlessly drive early-stage concepts through iteration, execution, and enhancement, validating with real customers and making the calls that move the vertical forward under uncertainty.

  • Turn Turquoise's pricing and contract data assets into products that solve concrete manufacturer problems, in close partnership with Engineering and Data.

  • Facilitate airtight coordination across disciplines within Turquoise—Engineering, Design, GTM, and Legal—and across key external stakeholders and customers.

  • Be the customer's voice: build direct relationships with pharma and medical device customers and bring their reality back into the roadmap.

  • Continuously hone industry and subject matter expertise, staying ahead of market trends and legislative developments so Turquoise anticipates the tailwinds and headwinds in life sciences.

What You'll Bring
  • 7+ years of product management experience, with a track record of owning products end to end.

  • 5+ years in health technology, with a strong grasp of how healthcare data, pricing, and payments fit together.

  • 3+ years working with pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturers—you understand their commercial and contracting world from the inside.

  • Demonstrated ability to ship high-complexity, 0→1 solutions in a fast-paced startup environment with rapidly changing priorities.

  • Subject-matter credibility in your own right—you can go as deep as a GM/SME as a peer.

  • A clear track record of growth and increasing scope—impact and staying power, not just tenure.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align senior stakeholders both internally and externally.

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and iterating in response to internal and market feedback.

  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience/knowledge. We are happy to work with strong candidates with non-traditional educational backgrounds.

Bonus Points
  • Experience building EHR / data integration products.

  • Pharmaceutical or medical device contract management and modeling experience.

  • Strong hands-on background with healthcare claims, chargeback, EHR data, formulary, or coverage data.

Benefits
  • Competitive pay with equity options

  • Stellar health care plan options (Medical, Dental & Vision), with FSA, DCFSA, & HSA options

  • Company-sponsored disability & life insurance

  • Flexible PTO

  • 401(k) + 4% Matching

  • Fully remote work + flexible working hours

  • $750 work-from-home setup budget

  • Paid bi-annual all-company in-person Summits

  • Quarterly $150 co-hanging stipend to meet up with coworkers

  • Monthly $100 health and wellness benefit

  • Generous paid family leave

  • Annual $1,200 learning & development stipend

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
