We are hiring a Founding GTM Lead to execute the growth engine at Maven Bio, the market intelligence layer for life sciences AI. You will produce the content our buyers read, run our webinars and event campaigns, tell the product story as it ships, build the target lists our sales team works, and keep the data behind it all clean. You work directly with the CEO, with strong ownership and agency.

The role fits an operator who knows (or will learn) biopharma, balances creativity and data analysis, and moves quickly.

About Maven Bio

Maven Bio is a 10-person seed-stage team in Boston building the market intelligence layer for life sciences AI. Three of the top 10 pharma companies are onboarded, and we have 20+ enterprise accounts across pharma, consulting, and investing. Customers report a 40% reduction in low-level analytical work.

We are growing fast and heading for a Series A. Our buyers are senior BD, CI, Strategy, and Investing leaders. This role supports both growth motions: content and campaigns that create inbound attention, and research and operations that sharpen outbound.

What You'll Do

  • Thought leadership. Turn Maven analyses into work our buyers read and share: indication landscapes, cross-trial comparisons, asset screens, deal flow analyses, customer stories. Each piece doubles as proof the product works.
  • Product marketing. Tell the product story as it ships: feature launch posts, release notes our buyers care about, competitive one-pagers, and the enablement pieces the sales team uses in live deals. Feed what prospects say back into positioning.
  • Webinars and events. Run the webinar funnel end to end: topics with the founders, invites with the AE team, production, and follow-up that turns attendance into meetings. Execute our conference plays: pre-event target outreach, materials, logistics, and the follow-up motion afterward.
  • Digital distribution. Drive the LinkedIn motion: company posts, founder amplification, and tight paid experiments where they earn their way.
  • Outbound support. Build and enrich the target account lists and buyer research our sales team works.
  • Funnel data. HubSpot is our system of record.

You'll work in the stack we already run: HubSpot, Loops, PostHog, Sanity, and in-house AI agents that draft briefs, track buying signals, and sync lists. You'll use the agents daily and help extend them.

Ideal Candidate

  • 1-4 years of experience, or a new grad with shipped work to show.
  • Builder mindset. You ship without waiting for permission. You can point to campaigns, content, events, or experiments you launched yourself.
  • Biopharma literate (or willing to learn quickly). A life sciences degree, time at a pharma, biotech, CRO, healthcare agency, or biopharma media outlet, or provable fluency in how drugs get developed, approved, and sold.
  • AI-native. You use AI daily and can show us the workflow, not the buzzword. You want to help build a modern growth machine instead of copying the legacy demand-gen playbook.
  • Data-driven. Fluent in spreadsheets at minimum; SQL or Python is a plus. You expect your work to be measured on pipeline.
  • Strong writer with good taste. You write clearly for a demanding professional audience, you know the difference between useful thought leadership and marketing noise, and you will publish under your own name.
  • Startup-fit. You want ownership, pace, and a career acceleration.

What This Role Offers

  • Equity, competitive base, and an annual performance bonus tied to pipeline and execution.
  • Daily collaboration with the founders, sales, and product team.
  • An AI-native growth function built from scratch, with real budget to execute.
  • A product with strong demo conversion and customer retention.
  • A path to owning marketing, growth ops, or BD as the company grows.

What This Role Is Not

This is not a strategy-only role. You will produce and implement work every week.

This is not a big-company marketing role. The marketing team is you and the founders, with no one to delegate to yet.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
