We're building something ambitious at ZetaChain: the first universal blockchain that connects everything—Bitcoin, Ethereum, every chain. We're backed by top investors, live on mainnet, and building the future of blockchain technology. If you're excited about working on big, meaningful problems with a world-class team, you're in the right place.
We’re building Soul — an AI-powered Web3 app for fortune-telling, identity, and social discovery — and other upcoming consumer-facing products in the blockchain space.
About the Role
You’ll be our first in-house engineer and the technical backbone of our Web3 apps (starting with Soul). You’ll own end-to-end development, from blockchain integrations to backend and frontend, while setting the foundation for our engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical architecture and development of Soul + upcoming apps.
- Build blockchain integrations: wallet connection, calling smart contracts, data flows.
- Develop across stack: frontend (React/Next.js), backend (Node.js), infra (Kubernetes/GCP).
- Establish engineering best practices
- Recruit and mentor future hires.
Requirements
- 5+ years of fullstack development.
- Strong blockchain/Web3 experience (Solidity, smart contracts, EVM chains).
- Familiarity with smart contracts is required but you do not write smart contracts as part of this role
- Proven track record in consumer apps or startups.
- Startup mindset: hands-on, independent, fast-moving.
Growth & Culture
- Shape the engineering vision as our first founding engineer.
- Work closely with the founder, with exposure to product, design, and strategy.
- Remote-first culture with async-friendly communication.
- Opportunity to grow into Head of Engineering as we scale.
- We’d love to offer token share benefits, so you grow with the company’s success.
