About Typeface
We help the world’s biggest brands move from brief to fully personalized campaigns — in days, not months.

Founded by Abhay Parasnis and backed by Microsoft, GV, Salesforce, Lightspeed, Madrona and Menlo, we’re building category-defining technology at the intersection of creativity and AI with real impact. Join us to help shape the future of enterprise marketing.

What You'll Do

As a Forward Deployment Engineer, you will translate complex business needs into scalable technical architectures, rapidly prototype AI-driven applications, and integrate Typeface’s platform across customer ecosystems. You’ll combine full-stack engineering expertise with hands-on GenAI experience—building custom agents, workflows, and reusable components—while driving customer transformations through fast experimentation and iterative delivery.

How You’ll Make Impact

  • Partner with Customer Success Managers, AI Engagement Managers, and Product teams to define customer requirements, facilitate technical workshops, and co-create GenAI solutions
  • Apply an AI-first experimentation mindset—build proof points in days, iterate on feedback, and demonstrate quick wins that build momentum for transformations
  • Design, build, and deploy full-stack applications and microservices integrating Typeface API/SDK, Brand Hub, Arc Agents, and multimodal content generation
  • Build custom agents and workflows tailored to specific customer use cases
  • Develop integrations with customer systems (CMS, DAM, marketing automation, analytics) and platforms like Google Workspace, Salesforce, Adobe Experience Cloud, and Campaign Manager 360
  • Capture field-proven use cases and funnel them back to Product and Engineering teams to inform the Typeface platform roadmap
  • Identify patterns and opportunities for productization of custom solutions while championing customer needs in internal product discussions
  • Develop reusable components, templates, and patterns deployable across customers with CI/CD pipelines and governance checks
  • Create automated testing frameworks for brand compliance, content safety, and quality assurance while designing scalable architectures for enterprise-grade volumes
  • Own delivery sprints from requirements through deployment, tackling challenges on-site or remotely while balancing multiple customer engagements
  • Document playbooks, prompts, patterns, and best practices in internal knowledge bases and create technical guides for common use cases
  • Share learnings across the organization, mentor other engineers, and present technical demos and case studies at customer events

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years as a full-stack developer or technical consultant with strong proficiency in React.js/Next.js/Angular, Node.js/Python/Java Spring Boot, REST/GraphQL APIs, and track record shipping production applications
  • Extensive hands-on experience with LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, Llama, Gemini), diffusion models (Stable Diffusion, DALL·E), and multimodal AI for text, images, video, and audio
  • Deep expertise in RAG pipelines, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS), semantic search, and AI agent frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen)
  • Proficiency with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, model optimization, and understanding of LLM capabilities, limitations, and hallucination mitigation strategies
  • Cloud expertise across AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, SageMaker, Bedrock), Azure (OpenAI Service, Cognitive Services), and Google Cloud (Vertex AI, BigQuery)
  • Strong DevOps skills including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitLab, GitHub Actions), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and monitoring tools
  • Understanding of OAuth, JWT, API security, data encryption, and compliance requirements (SOC2, GDPR)
  • Experience with content management systems, digital asset management platforms, marketing automation tools, and creative workflows
  • Outstanding customer-centricity with ability to build trust quickly with enterprise technical teams and stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication skills to translate complex AI concepts for both engineers and executives, present solutions clearly, and write comprehensive technical documentation
  • Startup DNA: thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with high ownership mentality, comfortable wearing multiple hats and tackling problems outside core expertise

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation — including salary, equity, and 401(k)
  • Full medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family
  • HSA and FSA options to support your financial wellness
  • Flexible time off — including parental leave
  • Well-being programs — resources to support your mental and physical health
  • Daily lunch & snacks
  • Mentorship & impact — work closely with top AI leaders on products that ship

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
