Role Summary
The Equity Compensation Reporting Specialist supports client-financial reporting needs within Equity Plan Solutions (EPS), serving as a key client-facing partner in delivering accurate and timely equity compensation reporting. This role is responsible for managing production support requests from initial triage through implementation, while partnering with internal teams and clients to produce reporting solutions, enhance system capabilities, and maintain strong client relationships.
Core Duties/Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in equity compensation valuation, expensing, and disclosures in accordance with ASC 718 and ASC 260.
- Manage production support requests, from initial intake and triage through resolution and implementation.
- Assist clients in understanding financial reporting calculations, reconciliations, expense recognition, and disclosures.
- Support client reporting needs by interpreting requirements and aligning solutions with system capabilities.
- Monitor account health and proactively identify and mitigate reporting risks.
- Maintain development item logs and coordinate enhancements with Product and Support teams.
- Produce documentation such as release notes and reporting updates for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Relationship Management, and Support teams.
- Support sales efforts by participating in client demos, presentations, and RFP responses.
- Analyze regulatory guidance and industry trends affecting equity compensation reporting.
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviors:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of experience in financial reporting, equity compensation, or related field.
- Sufficient understanding of ASC 718 (stock-based compensation) and ASC 260 accounting standards.
- Experience with equity compensation plans including stock options, RSUs, PSUs, and ESPPs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to clients.
- Experience in financial services or fintech industry preferred.
- CEP certification or progress toward certification is a plus.
Compensation
- We offer a base salary in the range of $95-104K plus a leadership bonus target. Compensation packages are commensurate with experience and location.
