Job Location: Remote, minimal travel
Reports to: VP of Finance
Element Critical is seeking to add a Financial Analyst who aligns with our company values of accountability, integrity, grit, and problem-solving.
The Analyst will play a key role in the execution of the company’s investment strategy, including property performance monitoring, capital planning, financial modeling, and investor and lender reporting. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with teams in finance, operations, sales and acquisitions, to provide valuable insights and contribute to financial strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The following represent some of the responsibilities that will be assigned to the Financial Analyst:
- Assist with the creation of new reporting/data collection processes to facilitate investor correspondence and forecasting throughout expansion plans
- Identify key financial metrics and measurements relating to existing and potential assets
- Collect and utilize data to improve investment decision making
- Assist with standard asset management tasks
- Rent roll audits
- Cash forecasting and planning (weekly, monthly, and annual bases)
- Traditional income statement, cash flow statement and balance sheet reporting
- Proformas and interim budgets
- Contributions and distributions
- Lender requests
- DSCR covenant calculations
- Adjusted TTM income statements
- Onboarding newly acquired properties into portfolio
- Contribute to tracking of new leasing/sales across entire portfolio
- Various ad-hoc requests as needed
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 2 years of finance experience with progressive growth, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong data analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in financial analysis and business modeling in a real estate owned model
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis concepts
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Adaptability and eagerness to take on varied tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and a motivated self-starter.
- Strong ownership ethic and intense focus on accuracy and accountability
