Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will support our brokers through financial modeling, market analysis, and investment underwriting for commercial real estate transactions. This role supports the brokerage team from start-to-finish of each commercial real estate transaction providing financial, due diligence, transaction management, and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review rent rolls & operating statements, then utilize Excel to underwrite and create cash flow statements and property valuations on commercial real estate including retail, office, medical, and net lease.
  • Conduct investment analysis, including cash-on-cash returns, and sensitivity scenarios to defend valuations.
  • Analyze leases, property reports, and other financial documents as preliminary due diligence to ensure that any potential issues are uncovered prior to marketing.
  • Assist in preparing offering memorandums, pitch books, and client presentations with compelling financial narratives.
  • Track and interpret market trends, comparable sales, lease comps, and economic indicators to help provide more accurate valuations.
  • Collaborate closely with brokers, research analysts, marketing, and finance teams to support transaction execution and strategy development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in commercial real estate or related field.
  • Proficiency in Excel with advanced modeling skills; familiarity with Argus, CoStar, and Adobe Acrobat is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working on property valuation or investment sales teams.
  • Familiarity with retail, office, or net lease commercial real estate, 1031 exchanges, and capital markets structures.
  • Working knowledge of real estate finance concepts and industry metrics.
