If you're ready to make an impact and shape the work lives of millions of people, then you've come to the right place!

Are you a proactive finance graduate ready to make a significant impact? We're looking for a motivated Financial Analyst to own critical financial processes and drive operational excellence within our growing team. This isn't just a role; it's an opportunity to take real ownership and directly influence our finance function.

You'll be at the heart of our finance function, working closely with FP&A, Accounting, and Revenue Operations (RevOps) to guarantee accurate financial operations, robust reporting, and strategic planning. If you're passionate about optimizing processes and contributing to a dynamic, high-growth environment, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do
  • Own Finance Operations Tools: Take the lead on essential financial tools, overseeing invoicing, expense reviews, and invoice tracking to ensure seamless operations.
  • Support Strategic FP&A: Play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, directly contributing to our financial strategy.
  • Manage Commission Calculations: Take full responsibility for precise commission calculations, collaborating closely with RevOps and Accounting.
  • Foster Internal Collaboration: Be a central point of contact, ensuring smooth processes and consistent financial data through close coordination with Accounting, FP&A, and other relevant teams.
What You'll Bring
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Some internship in controlling/consulting/accounting is required.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills coupled with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, as well as PowerPoint, is required. Experience with financial tools (e.g., Datev) is a plus.
  • An effective communicator with a highly collaborative mindset, able to build strong relationships across departments.
  • Proactive and can-do attitude, with a commercial mindset.
  • Someone who can manage their own time, prioritise and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ideally you are based in Stuttgart (or Berlin, Munich or Cologne) and a near-native German speaker.
  • A culture contributor.
What this Role offers you
  • A high-impact role where you'll have genuine ownership and significant responsibility from day one.
  • Close collaboration with experienced colleagues across Finance, RevOps, and Business Operations, fostering your professional growth.
  • A transparent company culture with flat hierarchies, where your contributions are recognized and valued.
What we offer you
  • Work mode: We’re remote-first, giving you flexibility to work from home. At the same time, we deeply value the power of in-person collaboration. Depending on the role, you’ll join occasional team events, workshops, or meetings in our Berlin or Stuttgart offices - always with plenty of notice. The exact balance will be discussed during your interview.
  • Work-Life-Balance: We don't want you to grow roots to your desk chair. That's why we cover the costs of your E-Gym-Wellpass membership and offer job bike leasing.
  • Celebrating success: Expect highly motivated and committed people in a relaxed working atmosphere.
  • Be part of something bigger: You actively shape Flip in your role. Along the way, you are an enabler of the rapid growth process of a young tech company and grow towards your goals, fun is guaranteed.
  • Happy to be a Flipster: Stay tuned for regular team events and culture days that bring us together as Flipsters.
  • Working abroad: At Flip you can also work abroad in the European Union. Let's talk about remote work in the interview.

At Flip, everyone is welcome - no matter what gender you identify as or how old you are. Sexual identity, origin, religion, world view and disabilities do not influence your potential job at Flip. The most important thing is that YOU fit in!

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
