Location/Division Specific Information

This Accountant III role is based remotely in the United States within the Drug Substance Division of the Viral Vectors North America and Microbial Manufacturing Services entities.

A day in the Life:
  • Perform revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606.
  • Manage assigned financial cycles to ensure transactions are accounted for appropriately and balances within subledgers are appropriate.
  • Ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of monthly close activities.
  • Prepare and review accounting entries and balance sheet account reconciliations to achieve completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist with Internal and External audits as well as any SOX compliance initiatives.
  • Involvement in Finance projects to drive financial reporting accuracy and reduction of low value work.

Challenge current processes to identify improvement opportunities.

Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
  • CPA Designation (preferred)
Experience
  • 3 years of progressive relevant work experience.
  • 2 years working for public accounting firm (preferred)
  • Experience with ASC 606 compliance
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Advanced level MS Excel skills, strong overall PC skills
  • Flawless attention to detail
  • Proficient in accounting software SAP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently but also within a team environment with a commitment to excellence and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple complex situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact at various levels inside and outside the organization.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Work is primarily performed in a remote environment.
