Senior Operations Financial Analyst
The position of Senior Financial Analyst within FP&A will be responsible for working with Finance leadership, & cross-functional departments in the business. The role will focus primarily on forward looking analysis and forecasting of activity and expenses within Operations functions across the organization. In a business partnership role, this position will be responsible for numerous P&L line items including Delivery, Warehousing, Freight, & Returns analysis. Primary responsibilities will include annual plan, monthly forecasting, actuals analysis, and numerous ad hoc strategic support across the organization. With exposure to the senior leadership team, this role requires strong presentation skills and detail oriented work.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of FP&A, this position is part of a dynamic team that works in a fast-paced environment, where keen attention to detail and an ability to partner with the business is crucial to success.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for forecasting various elements of the P&L, creating processes & models where necessary
- Drive development & implementation of internal reporting processes, including BI tools
- Work cross-functionally to develop financial models for new business challenges
- Drive internal process improvements and continually identify opportunities for automation to allow the team to perform world-class analytics
- Build & generate analysis from a variety of different data sources and functional groups on a global basis
- Create analysis and presentations that condense complex topics into actionable information that is communicated effectively to the business
- Ad hoc analytics and other duties, including special projects, as assigned
- Approach daily work and long term projects with continuous improvement mindset
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant work experience in Finance/ Accounting
- Previous experience with budgeting & analysis required
- Previous experience in operations, warehouse and delivery expenses preferred
- Able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with operational leads and executives respectively
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships in a fast-changing environment with multiple customers and evaluators
- Ability to analyze large & complex data sets and translate into actionable information
- Proven analytical and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and be detail oriented with respect to ensuring deadlines are met without creating any negative impact to internal clients
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel / Office skills required, especially the need to have exceptional modeling skill in Excel
