Job Description:

At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we've tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it's supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we're not just here to move money— we're here to move our global customers forward.
We're looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that's you and you're ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.

About the Role

We are looking for a sharp, financial-analysis-driven Analyst to join Remitly's Finance team in Dubai. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of financial analysis, systems, and regulatory data — built for someone who thinks like an analyst first: comfortable building models and dashboards, interrogating data with SQL, and translating numbers into business insight, while also supporting the regulatory reporting layer that keeps Remitly compliant across Middle East and APAC jurisdictions.

You will work closely with a senior finance leader who owns FPA, regulatory strategy and stakeholder relationships. Your core focus is financial analysis and systems support for the region; regulatory reporting support is a required but secondary part of the mandate.

You Will:

Financial Analysis & Systems Support

  • Partner with regional Finance leadership on financial analysis, reporting packages, and data-driven insights supporting business and regulatory decision-making

  • Support unit economics and business performance analysis — contributing to LTV, CAC, and customer/segment profitability views used by Finance leadership

  • Build and maintain dashboards and models (Hex, Excel/Sheets, SQL) that give leadership visibility into key financial and operational metrics

  • Work with Engineering and Product teams to define data requirements, validate system outputs, and ensure financial data flows align with reporting needs

  • Identify gaps in existing reporting infrastructure and propose structured, scalable solutions

  • Assist with business case and investment analysis for new products, licences, or market entry initiatives, working alongside senior Finance stakeholders

Regulatory Reporting Support

  • Support preparation of timely, accurate regulatory reports for multiple jurisdictions including UAE, KSA and Bahrain

  • Maintain oversight of regulatory reporting calendars and compliance trackers

  • Support daily/weekly client fund safeguarding reconciliations and reporting packages

  • Assist with statutory audit and client money AUP deliverables alongside accounting, compliance, and external auditors

You Have:

✅Required:

  • 3+ years in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related analytical finance role, ideally in fintech, payments, or a licensed financial services environment.

  • SQL, Advanced Excel/Sheets, and Power BI (or equivalent) — you build the models and dashboards, not just read them

  • Power BI or equivalent BI tool experience — you build reports and dashboards, not just consume them.

  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools to accelerate analytical workflows and automate repetitive reporting tasks

  • Experience working within a licensed fintech, payments company, e-money institution, or regulated financial services firm — you understand how data and compliance intersect in a live regulatory environment

  • Exposure to regulatory reporting processes, client fund reconciliations, or safeguarding frameworks in a fintech or payments context

  • Builder's mindset — when a process or framework is missing, you create it rather than wait

  • Strong cross-functional collaborator — comfortable working directly with Engineering, Compliance, Legal, and Product teams

  • Prior experience in an FP&A, business analytics, or commercial finance function, ideally within a fintech, payments, or high-growth tech environment

🌟 Plus

  • Direct experience with regulatory environments submissions in GCC countries.

  • Exposure to new entity licensing processes or financial system implementation projects

  • Background in payments infrastructure, MSB or EMI licensing environments

Our Benefits:

  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance

  • Life Insurance & Income Protection

  • Housing Allowance

  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)

  • Commuter Reimbursement

  • Mental Health & Family Forming benefits

  • Learning & development benefits
