We are looking for an Associate, Finance to support the day to day financial operations of the Men in Blazers Media Network. This individual will assist accounts payable and account receivable operations, client billing, financial reconciliations, and various other related duties. This individual will work closely with the Associate VP of Finance, as well as various other stakeholders across the organization. 

Associate, Finance

Location: United States, Remote (Ideally, New York City, where it will be a hybrid role)

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor invoices, talent payments, and client billing
  • Manage company accounting system to ensure compliance with company policies
  • Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and reconciliations
  • Assist with revenue tracking, including ad sales, sponsorships, licensing, and subscriptions
  • Support financial analysis to evaluate project profitability and ROI
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and contractual obligations
  • Assist with financial reviews
  • Maintain proper documentation for financial transactions
  • Support finance leadership with ad hoc analysis and special projects

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in finance or accounting (media, entertainment, or advertising industry preferred)
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Ramp, or similar)
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced media environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven media environment experience
