Job Title:     Field & Transactional Monitoring Manager

Location:     Boston or Miami - Hybrid 

Job Description

This position is tasked with managing for the US Compliance function the monitoring, detecting, and taking corrective actions towards key risk areas as expected of effective compliance programs and described by the Office of Inspector General for the Department of Health and Human Services pertaining to the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Serves as the US Ethics & Compliance lead tasked with executing the annual risk-based monitoring plan comprised of field and transactional based populations and data sets. (10%)
  • Conducts, along with others, field based and transactional monitoring across all BUs in pursuit fit for purpose yearly Monitoring Plan; in committee fashion may lead selected investigations related to allegations of policy violations (25%)
  • In addition to applying pre-existing checklists, seeks to improve checklists and the capture of other possible data points through experience and appreciation of Galderma’s risk profile.   (5%)
  • By leveraging internal controls, platforms/systems, detects violations of Galderma compliance policies as well as communicates trends to the department Head and US leadership recommendations for mitigation. (20%)
  • Maintains the integrity of all related documents and data sets through proper storage and in anticipation for any audit readiness. (5%)
  • Through observation, informs policy improvement with shared oversight to change management for initial US market consumption to be shared with the Global E & C function. (5%)
  • Serves as a conduit between the Global E & C function notably the Head of Risk & Investigations implementing Global initiatives which tend towards standardization of risk mitigation tactics, with flexibility to local market adaptation. (15%)
  • Informs the Global E & C function of emerging risks and trends within Galderma’s largest market (the US) who in turn informs when appropriate related committees such as the GRCC and Finance & Audit Meeting and the approach to risk mitigation; will be considered a super user of risk management tool (15%)

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent required.  Master’s degree or Juris Doctorate highly valued but not required.
  • 5+ years of work experience post-graduation.  Preference to pharmaceutical or medical device prior experience and working knowledge of fraud, waste, and abuse laws. The preceding can be substituted for otherwise exceptional candidates with perceived developmental upside.
  • Exhibited strength leveraging technology. 
  • Experience with data analytics and comfortable creating statistical output for necessary for day-to-day decision making and informing leadership decision making.
