Summary
The Industrial Thermal Management (ITM) team is growing across North America. as we work to grow and gain business across key markets (foundry, hearth, and ceramics – high temperature applications).
We are looking for initiative-taking individuals who can find new customers, and maintain and grow existing customers. As a Field Sales Engineer, you will contribute to our long-term business growth strategy. Candidate will be located in the North-Eastern United States.
Responsibilities:

• Balance new business development, customer growth and retention activities within a defined territory
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, program implementation
• Create and deliver customer educational experiences focused on growth
• Develop short- and long-term strategies and plans aligned with corporate goals
• Understand industry, customer and territory trends
• Use available tools and data to determine course of action within territory based on findings
• Inspect and monitor market conditions resulting in the development of strategic counter measures
• Identify customer gaps, concerns and goals that require a total Alkegen solution
• Work closely with other business partners including customer service, engineering and production
• Attend and participate at targeted industry trade shows and conferences
• Manage your business using a hybrid model of both travel to see customers and home office
• Plan in- territory travel up to 50% depending on business requirements
• Live into behaviors driven by a focus on Safety, Ethics, People, Commitment, Customer Focus, Innovation, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork, Speed and Agility.
Qualifications/ Experience:
• Engineering undergraduate degree required (minimum); Advanced business degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years in growth orientated business with measurable results
• Technical, industrial and application product sales and experience
• Exposure to product development, production and delivery
• Selling to and knowledge of industrial markets such as aerospace, metals, LNG, ceramic and glass, foundry or high heat applications and processes
• Must have a demonstrated history of business development, strong negotiation ability along with a natural flair to work within teams, across business units and foster key customer relationships
• Detail orientation in both sales reporting, sales analytics and interpretation at the territory level
• Creative problem solver who brings solutions to the conversation and situation
• Well-developed communication and influencing skills
• Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience “social” selling, digital promotion, creating presentations and webinars
