The Opportunity

TrustArc, Inc. is a global leader in privacy technology, helping many of the biggest and best brands in the world manage compliance, build trust, and enable responsible innovation. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Field Privacy Strategist to join our team—a dynamic privacy professional who loves bridging technology, compliance, and customer success.

In this high-impact role, you’ll report directly to our General Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer and work closely with our CRO, CCO, and their Sales, Sales Engineering, and Marketing teams. You’ll help global enterprises operationalize privacy, align our solutions with evolving regulations, and drive adoption through practical, human-centered strategies. You’ll also collaborate with TrustArc’s executive privacy leaders to strengthen our internal privacy program and ensure our own practices reflect the best in the industry.

What You Will Do

  • Act as a privacy expert in customer-facing discussions, translating complex regulations into actionable solutions.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the CRO, CCO, and their organizations to embed privacy expertise into go-to-market operations.
  • Support sales and marketing teams with insights, messaging, and enablement to align customer needs with TrustArc’s technology.
  • Translate complex regulatory frameworks (GDPR, CPRA, LGPD, HIPAA, etc.) into practical operational guidance and privacy-by-design practices.
  • Represent TrustArc at conferences and webinars as a privacy thought leader.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to share customer feedback and influence innovation.
  • Develop and deliver privacy training sessions and enablement materials for internal teams.
  • Contribute to internal privacy initiatives alongside our VP of Knowledge & Global DPO and Deputy General Counsel.
  • Support ongoing enhancements to internal data governance, privacy readiness, and responsible AI practices as part of a collaborative privacy leadership team.

What You Will Bring

  • JD or Bachelor’s degree with substantial real-world experience and/or certifications in privacy or related fields.
  • 7+ years in privacy, compliance, or data protection, ideally in SaaS or enterprise environments.
  • CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience in security and/or GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) is a plus.
  • Passion for helping organizations do privacy better, at scale.
  • Proven success partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams in enterprise SaaS or regulatory environments.
  • Ability to translate legal and regulatory concepts into actionable, business-oriented strategies.
  • Comfort with fast-paced, cross-functional collaboration and evolving product landscapes.

What We Offer

  • Health, Vision, and Dental Care (also available for partner)
  • Endless PTO Program
  • 100% Work from Home
  • Opportunities to participate in regional philanthropic activities
  • Opportunities to participate in health-focused activities - mindfulness, wellness, active lifestyle
  • $2,500 active employee referral program

  • Compensation: $150,000 to $175,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus of up to 10% of annual base salary.
Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
