Field Application Scientist (FAS) – Pluto C-Free Portfolio

Position Summary
Curiox is seeking a Field Application Scientist (FAS) to support the Pluto C-Free portfolio. This entry-level role is ideal for a motivated scientist looking to apply their technical expertise in a customer-facing capacity. The FAS will be responsible for providing technical support, training, and demonstrations of Pluto C-Free solutions, working closely with Sales and Field Service to ensure successful adoption and customer satisfaction. This is a regional position, primarily supporting customers in the Northeast U.S. with limited travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Support & Training
- Deliver onsite and remote training for customers on the Pluto C-Free platform.
- Provide technical support during installation, onboarding, and routine use.
- Address customer questions and ensure a positive experience with the technology.
- Product Demonstrations & Applications Support
- Conduct product demonstrations for prospective and existing customers.
- Collaborate with Sales to highlight technical advantages and support adoption.
- Gather and communicate customer feedback to internal teams to inform product development.
- Operational Support
- Partner with Field Service Engineers to ensure seamless customer handoffs.
- Assist with standard operating procedure (SOP) development and technical documentation for Pluto C-Free workflows.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and demo outcomes.
- Internal Collaboration
- Work with R&D and Product Management to provide field insights on applications and customer needs.
- Support cross-functional projects that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences, biotechnology, or related field.
- Strong scientific background with hands-on laboratory experience (cell biology, immunology, or related fields preferred).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Customer-service mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to travel within the Northeast region (~25–30%).
- Previous customer-facing or teaching/training experience a plus but not required.
