Federal Reserve Financial Services Payment Services Consultant/Expert (Level 3 Support)

Onsite work is an essential function of this position, and you are required to be onsite according to the schedule set by your management.
Performs technical, support, requirements development, design review and testing support for day-to-day processing as well as system upgrades and new project and product initiatives. Individuals must have a detailed understanding of business operations and workflow of all business processing platform and associated applications systems.
- Provides technical support for Business Operations and Product Development teams through consultative, technical and development expertise.
- Identifies and understands the impact of potential changes to the various business application systems with regard to workflow and throughput performance (system and technical) as needed.
- When applicable, understands and translates moderately complex system changes on operational/technical functions to promote effective integration and/or replacement of developing technological infrastructure and related platforms.
- Able to develop effective test plans to ensure potential change(s) do not result in any internal or external customer issues.
- Identifies strengths/weakness in existing business processing platforms and associated application systems and as needed, develops viable solutions to meet Business Operations’ needs.
- Responsible for the development of business requirements, design review, test plan and use case development.
- Communicates project progress, findings, and any significant issues to leadership.
- Responds to issues or problems that arise in day-to-day projects, operations and/or during development efforts.
- Meets with operations, product and/or technical development staff to define and investigate problems or issues and propose solutions. Verifies results of all changes and/or enhancements.
- May lead or participate in project teams developing business requirement for future operational or application enhancements.
- • May lead or participate in test case/script creation based on requirement and design documentation, as well as data files necessary for testing.
- May lead or participate in testing efforts from an Operational/Business perspective for application and environmental changes. Opens and/or updates defect tickets based on testing results.
- Knowledge Areas: FedWire Funds/Securities/NSS and ACH Functionality preferred.

Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years equivalent experience preferred.
- Typically requires 5 years of relevant experience. 8yrs for Expert level
