**Please note this role is for a Fall (July to December 2024) co-op or post-graduate internship no more than two years removed from graduation.

As a Social Video Editor, you will be responsible for creating visually captivating and engaging video content for our social media channels. You will work closely with our content creators, marketing team, and other stakeholders to produce high-quality videos that resonate with our target audience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media trends, excellent video editing skills, and a creative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and produce video content optimized for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.
- Collaborate with content creators and marketing team to conceptualize and storyboard video ideas.
- Utilize video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.) to edit footage, add effects, transitions, graphics, and music to enhance visual appeal.
- Ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines and reflects the company's tone and messaging.
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends, platform updates, and best practices for video content creation.
- Monitor video performance metrics and analyze audience engagement to optimize content strategy.
- Work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in film production, digital media, communications, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work in social media content creation.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of social media platforms and their specific video requirements and best practices.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts for video content.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
