THE ROLE: Facilities Maintenance Tech
We’re looking for…
This position will lead a variety of technical tasks related to facility/equipment maintenance, provide technical expertise to the overall operation, ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulatory ordinances, codes and laws at our fulfillment center in Shepherdsville, KY.
What You’ll Do:
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Perform assigned corrective and preventive maintenance on building systems which may include plumbing, lighting, electrical, kitchen equipment, commercial doors and locks, dock doors, and HVAC.
- Perform assigned corrective and preventive maintenance on operating equipment which may include various types of conveyors, electric motors/gearboxes, automated machinery.
- Respond quickly to emergency repair situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
- Use CMMS software to record information related to parts usage and work order progress.
- Adhere to and help to develop routine maintenance schedules and procedures on building systems and operating equipment.
- Communicate with and work directly with the maintenance supervisor and other department leaders to coordinate work to provide the highest quality service with the least amount of impact to operations.
- Communicate with and assist service vendors and subject matter experts to troubleshoot and service equipment when necessary.
- Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Operate multiple types of electric forklifts safely and in accordance with company regulations.
- Maintain the grounds of the facility and property by performing tasks such as weed removal, sweeping, leaf blowing or snow removal.
- Perform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
- Collaborate well with other department associates, co-workers, vendors and leadership in a professional and service-based manner.

- High School Diploma/ GED
- 3 to 5 years in an industrial setting
- Working knowledge of 110/208 voltage and 277/480 voltage
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Flexible to work rotating shifts Monday – Friday or Tuesday – Saturday 8-hour days at 5 days / week. Subject to change based on the needs of the business.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must provide proof of the right to work in the US
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as required, may include weekends
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours
- Must be willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Must be able to continuously climb and descend stairs safely
- Must be able to work on a secure mezzanine at a height of up to 40 feet
- Must be willing and able to work on heavy equipment, such as high pickers, which extend to heights as tall as 26 feet as part of their primary function
- Must have some proficiency in computer skills
- Must have strong communication skills and be able to thoroughly document critical information.
- Successful completion of a post-offer criminal background check
Expected Hourly Salary Range: $27-$32 hr
