STR is seeking a highly motivated Facilities Coordinator to support our Woburn office. This role is essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, particularly in shipping and receiving, vendor management, and general facilities support. You will join a team of dedicated, creative, and collaborative professionals and have opportunities to expand your organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills in a dynamic environment. 

This position reports to the Shipping & Receiving Manager in the Facilities Group within the Operations Division.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track incoming and outgoing shipments, including related administrative tasks.
  • Manage and schedule loading dock deliveries and shipment activities.
  • Coordinate and manage Facilities and EHS vendor relationships and associated tasks, including first aid services, fire extinguishers, AED maintenance, e-waste disposal, hazardous waste management, pest control, and catering deliveries.
  • Escort vendors into lab spaces as needed while ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Provide support for facilities service requests and maintenance calls.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and assist with overall facility upkeep.
  • Ensure the workplace is safe, well-maintained, and comfortable for employees.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other STR sites.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities as needed.

 Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in shipping and receiving required.
  • Experience handling hazardous materials preferred.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in facilities, office management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with vendor management, including oversight of multiple service providers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and other standard applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to interact professionally with colleagues at all levels and with external partners.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to exercise good judgment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
  • Enthusiasm for learning, growth, and taking on new responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government.
