The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineering Leader to join Air Dominance, specifically the F-15 Program, in Berkeley, MO. This is an exciting leadership opportunity on the world's premier Air Dominance and Strike Fighter platform working directly with the US government and foreign customers.
This position manages, develops and motivates employees performing design, integrity/airworthiness, and manufacturing engineering efforts for F15 customers. Primary team duties include modernization initiatives for F-15 Israel, F-15 Korea, F-15 Singapore, and F-15EX. This position will partner with the F-15 Platform Structures organization responsible for F-15EX production, will be aligned to Mechanical & Structural Engineering (MSE) Capability, and deployed to the F-15 Air Vehicle IPT organization. Familiarity with full size determinate assembly (FSDA), proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM), and the ability to estimate manpower/support critical proposals are required for this position.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Manage employees and mid-level managers performing engineering and technical activities
  • Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work collaboratively with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time zones
  • Provide technical guidance through experience and network ensuring that products are accurate and reliable
  • Ability and willingness to make technical decisions based on data, experience, engineering judgement, & input from SMEs/leads
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure integration across the value stream
  • Effectively communicate findings, recommendations, and project status to stakeholders through reports and presentations
  • Oversee complex and challenging projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet technical requirements. This includes resource allocation and risk management
  • Develop and implement strategies that align with organizational goals and industry standards
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for process enhancement and implementing best practices

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering
  • 10+ years of technical experience in mechanical and/or structural engineering role
  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing large or complex teams of managers and/or non-management employees
  • 3+ years of experience effectively leading and partnering with cross-functional teams, involving key stakeholder relationship management
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience with military aircraft production
  • 3+ years of experience with EVM, CAM, and RIO management
  • 3+ years of experience with software toolsets used for structural analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $197,200 - $266,800
