Role Summary:

The Executive Director, Business & Digital Platforms Lead at Dyne is a strategic leader and trusted advisor who will help architect Dyne’s business systems and associated processes across R&D, G&A, and Technical Operations with a strong focus on Commercial and Medical. This role is beyond systems - it’s about leading and shaping how Dyne connects with patients and providers, how we deliver therapies efficiently, and how we scale for future launches. This individual will work in lockstep with our Business Operations teams, Commercial and Medical, and cross-functional partners across all business areas.  This individual will define and execute a roadmap that integrates cutting-edge platforms, data-driven insights, and compliant processes to support Dyne’s commercialization strategy in the US and globally. 

This role is based in Waltham, MA.

Primary Responsibilities Include: 

  • Serve as the primary technology leader and business partner across the business with a focus on Commercial and Medical functions, building strong relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders to understand business objectives, priorities, and technology and process needs and gaps. 
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations, Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services as well as G&A, R&D and other business functions to design and implement a technology roadmap that supports Dyne’s launch strategy and long-term growth. 
  • Lead the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of business technology platforms (e.g., CRM, data management, omnichannel engagement, analytics), ensuring they are robust and scalable. 
  • Align IT initiatives with business priorities, ensuring scalability for multiple product launches and global expansion. 
  • Serve as the primary IT liaison for medical and commercial teams, translating business needs into actionable technology solutions. 
  • Lead and manage future IT Business Partners to support business areas as Dyne grows.  
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver best-in-class platforms. 
  • Enable Dyne’s Omnichannel Engagement model incorporating field learning, digital, and data insights. 
  • Lead initiatives to implement and optimize CRM systems (e.g., Veeva Vault CRM and Patient services CRM), digital engagement tools, and analytics platforms that empower field teams and enhance customer experience. 
  • Lead with Compliance and Trust—embedding regulatory compliance (e.g., GxP, GDPR) into every solution, safeguarding our data and maintaining Dyne’s reputation for integrity. 
  • Oversee the lifecycle of commercial technology solutions, including requirements gathering, vendor management, implementation, and ongoing support. 
  • Be a champion of innovation--Identifying emerging technologies that can elevate Dyne’s commercial and medical capabilities and patient engagement strategies. 
  • Bring forward ideas that challenge the status quo and deliver measurable business impact. 

Education and Skills Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science or Business Administration, MBA preferred 
  • 18+ years of experience as an IT leader in roles supporting commercial and medical functions, R&D and G&A functions in biotech or pharmaceutical industry 
  • 10+ years overseeing cross functional implementationsrunning task plans (Smartsheet preferred), setting goals and aligning dates with business needs. 
  • AI Fluency Preferred—deploying workforce automation or using LLM enhanced processes as workforce multipliers. 
  • Experience “building from scratch” an IT business partner team, commercial ecosystem required for launch of a rare disease product. 
  • Deep understanding of requirements and methods to build and operate CRM platforms (preferably Veeva)patient services, omnichannel marketingbusiness analytics, and other digital engagement technologies. 
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, motivate and lead project teams, and shape strategy. 
  • Expertise working collaboratively--ensuring the right people are “at the table” when making key business and technology strategy decisions. 
  • A passion for Dyne’s mission and a commitment to building systems that make a difference for patients.  
  • Ability to articulate a commercial business technology ecosystem at all levels of our business

MA Pay Range
$241,000$295,000 USD

The pay range reflects the base pay range Dyne reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Individual compensation depends on factors such as education, experience, job-related knowledge, and demonstrated skills.
