Executive Assistant, Chief People Officer
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid/Onsite as applicable)
The Opportunity
PTC is seeking a highly skilled and thoughtful Executive Assistant to serve as a trusted partner to our Chief People Officer (CPO). This is a high-impact, highly visible role where you’ll play a critical part in enabling the success of a new executive leader and the broader People Leadership team.
You’ll be more than an administrative expert—you’ll act as a strategic connector, problem-solver, and ambassador of the People organization. How You’ll Make an Impact
Trusted Partnership & Executive Support
- Serve as a trusted, day-to-day partner to the Chief People Officer, enabling her to focus on relationship-building, strategy, and driving high-impact people initiatives.
- Manage a dynamic and evolving calendar with care, thoughtfulness, and an understanding of priorities, context, and tradeoffs.
- Anticipate needs, surface potential challenges early, and adapt quickly as priorities shift.
Connection, Communication & Team Effectiveness
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, ensuring logistics, materials, and technology support productive, engaging conversations.
- Build agendas for weekly People Leadership meetings by partnering with leaders across the team and proactively identifying important topics.
- Attend select meetings to capture decisions, track action items, and help ensure clarity, accountability, and follow-through.
- Understand the organization and the business well enough to ensure the right voices are included in the right conversations.
Operations, Travel & Financial Support
- Arrange domestic and international travel with a focus on efficiency, experience, and attention to detail.
- Prepare and submit expense reports and purchase orders accurately, on time, and within budget guidelines.
- Manage purchase requisitions and PO tracking for the CPO and People team, including confidential and sensitive requests.
Strategic & Project Support
- Provide support on budget-related work, People initiatives, and special projects tied to talent, culture, and ways of working.
- Help continuously improve how the People team shares information—ensuring materials are clear, meaningful, and useful.
- Proactively identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve workflows, and enable the team to focus on the work that matters most.
What You Bring
Experience & Knowledge (People & HR–Focused)
- 10-15 years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting senior leaders, preferably within People, HR, Talent, or Corporate Functions, in fast-paced, high-expectation environments.
- Demonstrated understanding of how People organizations operate, including exposure to talent, total rewards, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, change management, and workforce planning cycles.
- Comfortable operating deeply in the details—from sensitive employee-related matters to leadership logistics—while maintaining a strategic perspective on People priorities and business impact.
- Highly adaptable and steady under pressure; able to pivot quickly as People priorities evolve in response to business needs, employee experience, or leadership transitions.
- Exceptional judgment and discretion, with proven experience handling confidential HR, employee, and executive matters, and a clear understanding of the trust required when supporting People leadership.
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills; able to build trusted relationships across HR Centers of Excellence, Legal, Finance, and senior business leaders.
- Extensive experience managing complex domestic and international travel, including itineraries that support global People leaders and distributed teams.
- Passionate about the Executive Assistant profession as a long-term career, with a genuine interest in partnering closely with leaders who shape culture, talent, and ways of working.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), with comfort preparing People-related materials such as leadership decks, org updates, and confidential documentation.
