The Opportunity

We are in search of an Executive Administrator (EA)/Office Manager to support our Milpitas-based CEO and MariaDB office. The ideal individual is someone who is comfortable managing a diverse workload and confident in prioritizing tasks with a sense of urgency. In this role, you will act as a right hand to the CEO by anticipating his needs, moving quickly, and creatively problem-solving in order to fully leverage his time. Someone who is an excellent communicator, takes ownership and closes loops without guidance, and has excellent problem-solving skills will thrive in this role. What You'll Do

  • Manage CEO's calendar and proactively optimize his schedule to ensure time is being leveraged effectively and efficiently; monitor and manage key meetings for changes to adjust and communicate as needed
  • Handling all domestic and international travel arrangements
  • Facilitate communication between appropriate stakeholders at all levels
  • Anticipate the needs of the CEO; plan ahead and be resourceful
  • Coordinating and scheduling meetings with the Board of Directors
  • Prepare and manage expense reports
  • Assist Finance with bank deposits as needed
  • Occasionally undertake personal assistant tasks
  • Responsible for day-to-day office operations running smoothly
  • Assist with event planning for the office and senior leadership meetings
  • Order catered lunches as needed

Compensation:

The annual anticipated U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is USD $110,000 - $140,000.

Actual salaries may vary and fall outside of this range depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, geographic location, skills, experience, and competencies.

In addition, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than the job description as posted. Salary is one component of MariaDB’s total rewards package, which (subject to eligibility requirements) may include equity ownership, health insurance, life, and disability insurance, funds toward professional development resources, Flexible Paid Time Off (FPTO), paid holidays, and parental leave, a massive degree of flexibility and freedom, and more.
