RA Capital has more than 150 employees and over $10 billion in assets under management. We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to support
the Leadership of Blackbird (Development Accelerator) and their team. This role is critical to enabling efficient operations across a fast-paced, in-house business and service organization. Blackbird engages across the RA organization as well as externally with many of RA’s portfolio companies. Blackbird also drives uptake, utilization and oversight of Swiftbridge, RA Capital’s China Clinical Development organization.

The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, understands the complexity and urgency of supporting asset development discussions, and can seamlessly manage priorities, communications, and cross-functional coordination with discretion and professionalism. The candidate will be comfortable interacting with individuals of all levels and locations globally. Interactions may include touch points with a number of different types of stakeholders including patient advocates and patient advocacy groups, members of the Swiftbridge China team, C-suite level executives at portfolio companies and vendors and internal RA leadership. Competence,
good judgement and resourcefulness is critical to the success of this role.

Key Responsibilities
Executive Support

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Blackbird Leadership and team members, including complex calendar management, travel coordination, and expense reporting.
  • Independently schedule meetings with external clients (Portfolio Companies), vendors, stakeholders and third parties.
  • Maintain strong relationships with our portfolio company teams, acting with a sense of urgency and providing status updates on progress.

Operational Coordination

  • Support day-to-day operations of the Blackbird team. Assist Project Manager and Head of Strategic Alliances in tracking key initiatives, deliverables, and deadlines across clinical programs and patient engagement activities, when required.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination across multiple stakeholders and time zones.
  • Support special projects such as internal process improvements, team offsites, and organizational initiatives.
  • Help maintain documentation and internal trackers
  • Be the point person for onsite visitors and large meetings – coordination with RA facilities and security, room booking, IT set up, provisions.
  • Assist with onboarding new team members through organizing onboarding plans with Raven Operations HR

Communications & Documentation

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive clinical, regulatory, and business information. Organize and manage shared document repositories under the direction of the Project Manager (proposals, contracts, presentations)
  • Ability to operate independently on assigned tasks

Qualifications
Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience supporting senior executives, preferably in biotech, pharma, healthcare, asset managers or clinical research environments.
  • Experience supporting complex, cross-functional teams is highly preferred. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
  • Proficiency with standard business tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, collaboration platforms).
  • Familiarity with clinical development processes, clinical trials, or patient engagement initiatives is a plus.

The base salary range reflects our good faith estimate at the time of posting. Final compensation will depend on factors like experience, skills, and location. The role may also be eligible for an annual bonus and long-term incentives. Compensation and benefits may be updated in the future.

$120,000$140,000 USD
