Who we are

We’re Fluxon, a product development team founded by ex-Googlers and startup founders. We offer full-cycle software development from ideation and design to build and go-to-market. We partner with visionary companies, ranging from fast-growing startups to tech leaders like Google and Stripe, to turn bold ideas into products with the power to transform the world.

About the role

We’re looking for an extraordinary executive and personal assistant to support our four-person Executive team.

As EA, you’ll be a trusted partner to our leaders, helping them stay organized, focused, and moving forward. If you’re proactive, detail-oriented, and love being the go-to person who makes things happen, we’d love to meet you!

This role is fully remote within the United States, with a strong preference for a candidate based in the Bay Area. If you’re located in the Bay Area, you’ll also have the opportunity to co-work with our team in-person in San Mateo once a week.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing our Executive team’s calendars - scheduling meetings, resolving conflicts, and keeping everyone on track
  • Serving as the go-to person for day-to-day administrative needs
  • Creating, editing, and polishing communications, presentations, and internal documents for clarity and accuracy
  • Conducting research on vendors, tools, or special projects to provide data-driven recommendations for executive and team decisions
  • Providing personal and family assistance as needed (e.g. booking appointments, coordinating household logistics, gift sourcing, etc.)
  • There will also be opportunities for you to support our company operations wherever we need help and based on your own interests - such as event planning, social media, setting up new tools or systems, standardizing internal processes, and more!

Qualifications

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have at least 4 years of experience as an executive assistant
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills - You thrive in keeping details in order and deadlines on track
  • Are passionate about problem-solving - No matter how big or small the task, you’re motivated to try out different ideas and find the right solution
  • Have previous experience with and passion for startups

What we offer

Our salary range for this role is $70,000-$90,000, and we consider your skills and experience and what similar roles pay at companies similar to us when determining your offer.

  • Remote-first culture
  • Flexible time off policy
  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage
  • Profit sharing program
  • 401(k) matching for US employees
  • Paid parental leave
  • Annual education and fitness allowances

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
