We are looking for a Director of Revenue Accounting to oversee our team our team of highly talented revenue accountants.  In this role, you will be responsible for managing the overall revenue accounting process, including the revenue accounting month-end close process, revenue recognition (ASC 606) accounting conclusions based on business operations, and ad hoc revenue accounting related projects for a subset of EverCommerce’s software solutions.  This is a highly visible role and an excellent opportunity to work with senior management.

You effectively communicate to all levels in the organization to ensure that you understand entity-wide strategic priorities, how your team’s mission fits into that plan, and that your team is executing effectively and efficiently to achieve the accounting department’s overall goals. You take ownership of your work and that of your team, and self-correct when necessary to get back on track.

Responsibilities:

  • Business acquisitions - Onboard acquired companies to US GAAP revenue recognition
  • Implement and maintain the Company’s revenue recognition policies identifying operational expedients where possible
  • Manage 4 direct and indirect reports with opportunity to grow team through acquisition of additional businesses
  • Assist Evercommerce team in implementation of best-in-class billing and revenue recognition systems, consolidating current systems where deemed necessary
  • Maintain data integrity of revenue and billings for yearly financial statement audit
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue schedules for our accounting close process, including SoX controls
  • Additional ad-hoc projects as needed

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:

  • Required:
  • 12+ years of accounting experience
  • BS/BA degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience with strong revenue recognition acumen
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 and SAAS Software revenue recognition
  • Strong understanding of month-end and year-end close processes
  • Strong organizational, project management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, writing and communication skills
  • Preferred:
  • Mix of public and private experience related to mergers and acquisitions
  • Experience with NetSuite & Zuora Billing
  • Experience with mid-size ERP software
  • Experience with SAAS and technology services

Where:

This role is a Denver Remote/Hybrid role, which will be in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week in our offices in the Denver RINO area to collaborate with other revenue accounting teammates and otherwise remote.

The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is $180,000 to $210,000 USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
