Description

Sprout Social is looking to hire an Events Manager to the Marketing team.

Why join Sprout’s Marketing team?

As a member of Sprout’s Marketing department, you’ll play an integral role in inspiring and empowering our customers while driving business growth. As true partners to Sales and Success, we’re accountable for generating significant revenue through new customer acquisition and customer expansion.

Together, we make up the revenue organization, leading our go-to-market strategy and aligning our goals as a unified team. We put customers at the center, are results-driven, and are passionate about our impact on the strength and health of Sprout.

Individually, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. Here, we want you to do your best work, think creatively, take risks, and make mistakes. You define your own path.

What you’ll do

  • Report to and collaborate closely with the Director of Events to produce and execute outstanding experiences for customers, prospects, and partners.
  • Build and manage event budgets with precision.
  • Use your expertise in event strategy and vendor sourcing (including RFP processes) to manage logistics—venue, F&B, A/V, collateral, gear, speakers, travel, signage, shipping, décor, and more.
  • Build brand visibility and showcase Sprout’s culture through hosted, partner, and sponsored events.
  • Bring passion, excellent communication skills, and a sharp eye for detail to create experiences that surprise and delight attendees.
  • Shape events to increase brand awareness, foster customer loyalty, and strengthen connections with prospects and the broader social community.

What you’ll bring

You have extensive experience in event strategy, management, creative planning, and logistics. You enjoy being hands-on throughout the entire event lifecycle—from ideation to execution. We’re looking for someone strategic, energetic, collaborative, and passionate about events, social media, and technology.

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

  • 7+ years of experience in event and/or experiential marketing
  • Experience managing diverse event formats, including in-person and virtual (e.g., executive events, tradeshows, summits, proprietary events, advisory boards)
  • Proven experience planning large-scale user conferences and third-party tradeshows
  • Demonstrated creativity and a track record of delivering elevated, innovative event experiences
  • Deep knowledge of pre-event acquisition and post-event follow-up strategies to maximize ROI

Preferred qualifications for this role include:

  • Experience in B2B and/or SaaS environments
  • Familiarity with Salesforce event ecosystems (Dreamforce, Connections, World Tours, etc.)
  • Experience collaborating with remote and international teams
  • Experience managing events with 750+ attendees
  • Interest in leveraging AI in event strategy

How you’ll grow

Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including:

  • Complete Sprout’s New Hire training program alongside other new Sprout team members.
  • Gain an understanding of Sprout’s marketing roadmap and processes.
  • Meet your teammates in the events, marketing, sales, and operations teams to understand the process for how we prioritize, plan, partner, and measure events.
  • Understand Sprout’s event history, as well as current event goals, core principles of guest experiences, and your role in bringing them to life.

Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:

  • Fully integrate yourself into the Events Team and with the Sprout event experience by assisting in Sprout marketing & employee events.
  • Drive plans for executing our remaining 2025 events.
  • Solidify relationships, expectations, and responsibilities with internal partners.
  • Master the tech tools, processes, and reporting dashboards Sprout’s event, marketing and sales teams use to make it all happen.
  • Confidently speak to Sprout event and marketing metrics and the role events play in achieving company goals with internal stakeholders.

Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact through:

  • Fully understand Sprout’s multiple audiences, and the role events play in connecting with them, and identify event opportunities to do just that in 2026.
  • Identify efficiencies in event processes to help deliver on aggressive 2026 event goals.
  • Regularly represent events with partners in the sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment, partnership, and continued education.
  • Work with the Director of Events to define your career goals and formulate a plan to make progress toward them.
  • Reach a level in executing work that requires little or no direction from the Director of Events.

Within 12 months, you’ll make this role your own by:

  • Be a trusted source for event ideation, execution, and measurement that deliver on Sprout’s event expectations and goals.
  • Manage relationships with contractors to help maximize the impact of the team and deliver on pipeline goals from events

Of course what is outlined above is the ideal timeline, but things may shift based on business needs and other projects and tasks could be added at the discretion of your manager.

Our Benefits Program

We’re proud to regularly be recognized for our team, product and culture. Our benefits program includes:

  • Insurance and benefit options that are built for both individuals and families

  • Growing corporate social responsibility program that is driven by the involvement and passion of our team members
  • Beautiful, convenient and state-of-the-art offices in Chicago’s Loop and downtown Seattle, for those who prefer an office setting

Whenever possible, Sprout wants to provide our team with the flexibility to work in the location that makes the most sense for them. Sprout maintains a remote workforce in many places in the United States. However, we are not set up in all states, so please look at the drop-down box in our application to see whether your state is listed. Few roles require an office setting. If your position requires a physical presence in a Sprout office, it will be evident in the job listing and your offer letter.

Individual base pay is based on various factors, including work location, relevant experience and skills, the responsibility of the role, and job duties/requirements. In the United States, we have two geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires are:

  • Zone 1 (New York, California, Washington): (Min) $110,264, (Mid) $137,800, (Max) $165,396 USD annually
  • Zone 2 (All other US states): (Min) $100,200, (Mid) $125,300, (Max) $150,400 USD annually

The listed ranges represent the full earning potential in this position. Starting salaries for well-qualified new hires are typically around the midpoint of the range. These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent, and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation bi-annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.

Base pay is only one element of an employee's total compensation at Sprout. Every Sprout team member has an opportunity to receive restricted stock units (RSUs) under Sprout’s equity plan. Employees (and their dependents) are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life, accidental death, and dismemberment insurance, and Modern Health (a wellness benefit).  Employees are able to enroll in Sprout’s company’s 401k plan, in which Sprout will match 50% of your contributions up to 6% with a maximum contribution. Sprout offers “Flexible Paid Time Off” and ten paid holidays. We have outlined the various components to an employee’s full compensation package here to help you to understand our total rewards package.

Key Facts About Boston Tech
