Role Description: Event Specialist, Trade Shows

 

Role Purpose:

 

The Event Specialist, Trade Shows is part of the Global Events team and will help accelerate Wasabi’s Go-to-Market Strategy by coordinating and executing corporate trade shows and events to support the growth requirements for the company globally. This role includes collaborating and driving events execution to build brand awareness, generate revenue opportunities, and accelerate existing opportunities through the sales cycle. This role will ensure the execution of events is consistent across all regions and work closely with regional field marketing team members to execute events on a global scale.

 

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Global Events.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute 3rd party trade show events to continue to build Wasabi’s brand awareness and demand globally.
  • Work across the Wasabi team to ensure events are in line with global Go-To-Market strategy.
  • Leverage marketing automation tools to ensure all event leads are properly routed to the sales team and receive appropriate Wasabi messaging post event.
  • Manage outside agencies and contractors working in support of the live events.
  • Support Wasabi staff on site at events or support remotely, depending on the event needs.
  • Create/maintain best practices and standardized templates for event timelines, event presentations, and more.
  • Pre/During/Post Event tasks may include, but not limited to: tracking spend; registration management; ordering signage/displays, assessing audiovisual needs; printing; shipping/tracking; creating event memos and slide decks.
  • Post event follow up can include meeting recap, event surveys, review of invoices, and expense allocations.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in trade show event coordination and execution.
  • Affinity to high growth, fast paced environment.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools, like Asana, and CRM platforms like Hubspot, Salesforce, is a plus.
  • Must be able to problem solve and come up with solutions to issues and ensure stakeholders’ needs are met.
  • Ability to analyze root causes of problems in a systematic approach and develop new ideas to improve.
  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to multitask with short deadlines.
  • May require prolonged standing during onsite support.
  • Light physical effort required (packing, unpacking, shipping, event/exhibit install/dismantle). Ability to lift to 30 pounds.
  • Some travel and the ability to obtain a passport is a requirement of the position.
