Job Description:

We are seeking a highly analytical and process-oriented ERP Business Process Analyst to lead the implementation and optimization of our enterprise systems. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between our business units and other IT teams, ensuring that our ERP platform solutions align with the equipment industry’s best practices. Your primary goal is to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions that drive operational efficiency.

As a Business Process Analyst, you must understand the ERP system's technical constraints while working with the business on best practices for business process efficiency. Specifically, this role will be focused on the functional areas of production planning and manufacturing execution in a complex capital equipment environment with needs that go from a spectrum of engineer-to-order machine solutions to configure-to-order machine products. Broader knowledge that includes product costing concepts is desired.

  • Requirements Gathering: Lead sessions to define business functional requirements and scope.
  • ERP Implementation: In partnership with the broader IT organization, support the full lifecycle of ERP, including functional system configuration, data migration, and system integration.
  • Gap Analysis: Identify discrepancies between business needs and system capabilities; recommend "out-of-the-box" solutions vs. custom enhancements as the preferred method, where possible.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop ERP-related business process flows and test scripts to ensure the system meets business criteria. Support the development of training materials for ongoing deployments of the ERP system.
  • Change Management: Act as a subject matter expert to train end-users and create documentation that ensures high adoption rates.

Job Specifications:

  • Process Knowledge: Must have a deep understanding of Production Planning and Execution processes in a discrete manufacturing environment including related Product Costing knowledge. Must have a solid understanding of related master data elements and relationships driving those processes.
  • Specific Technical: Full understanding of the specific functional area system set up or configuration and its impact on the data and behavior of that respective module. (For example, Production Control and related Cost Management in MS Dynamics terms.)
  • General Technical: Proficient in ERP system understanding, data mapping concepts/techniques, MS Office tools, and other related items, such as BI reporting tools.
  • Core Competencies
    • Systems Thinking: Ability to see how a change in one module (e.g., Inventory) impacts another (e.g., Finance).
    • Communication: Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts or "tech-speak" into plain English for stakeholders and vice versa.
    • Problem Solving: A proactive approach to solving diverse types of issues including system, business process, and data integrity issues.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or other technical fields, such as Engineering.
  • Experience: 10+ years of combined experience in business and/or IT roles, including business analysis, requirements management, and ERP solution design (Microsoft Dynamics preferred; SAP or other ERP system is acceptable)

Preferred Qualifications (In Addition to the Requirements Above:

  • Previous experience implementing ERP systems in a capital equipment manufacturing environment
  • Direct experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP implementations
