Job Description
Are you ready to take on a leadership role in product development within Prime Financial Services? As a Product Development Vice President, you will be involved in building out our product strategy, leading and supporting initiatives to improve processes and infrastructure, or even create new ones from scratch. You will work closely with other teams throughout the organization to support the Prime business. This function is an essential part of JPMC's business and is critical to JPMC because Prime offers flexible financing to clients in either physical form or through synthetic products and its ability to borrow and lend securities (stock loans) also allows clients to create short exposure. A further role of the Prime business is to provide the wider Equities and Prime businesses with both short term and long term secured funding. Job Summary:
As a Vice President within the Prime Financial Services team, you will be the sole point of contact and escalation point for all product, technology, and operational inquiries related to assigned projects. You will lead Financing projects on behalf of the business from inception through to implementation, ultimately accountable for meeting these mandates. You will be responsible for partnering with stakeholders to deliver commercial and robust product solutions related to Stock Borrow Loan, Pricing & Rates management, Analytics & Optimization, whilst managing Balance sheet costs down and satisfying the Regulatory agenda.
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead global Financing projects (covering cash and derivatives prime brokerage) on behalf of the business from inception through to implementation, remaining ultimately accountable for meeting these mandates.
  • Apply expertise and provide recommendations on new initiatives and process improvements.
  • Serve as the sole point of contact and escalation point for all product, technology, and operational inquiries related to strategic initiatives, directing and adding continuous improvements to the process and infrastructure.
  • Identify profitable, efficient product enhancement concepts that reflect revenue opportunities, while acknowledging balance sheet constraints and impact to accounting for the business.
  • Partner with functional groups to deliver effective strategic solutions and robust controls, on time and on budget, while managing ad hoc queries from senior traders and managers of support functions.
  • Plan and provide oversight of resources and strategic programs with a focus on P&L opportunities and reducing balance sheet/net funding costs.
  • Lead and collaborate with senior desk heads, business managers, and corresponding heads of support functions when driving change.
  • Ensure the product investment is clearly aligned to commercial business objectives.
  • Partner in creating the product roadmap, defining business requirements, and managing sponsored deliverables throughout the development cycle, ensuring tangible and successful end-to-end delivery.
  • Conduct business analysis by collaborating with trading, sales, middle office, and technology partners to understand their current processes and pain points.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement continuous improvements and ensure processes adapt to meet changing systems and control requirements.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Demonstrate extensive product knowledge and work experience in Cash and Derivatives Prime Brokerage, matrix managing a team of individuals, their deliverables, timelines, and dependencies across the Program.
  • Apply extensive process knowledge and expertise directly in understanding P&L, Risk, and Balance sheet components.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to determine the business goals that clients want to achieve and the products/processes that will support those goals.
  • Think strategically in designing end-to-end solutions and re-engineer business and operational processes as required.
  • Exhibit a logical mind, perseverance, the ability to communicate ideas well, and effectively target messages to different audiences.
  • Gather information through process mapping, flow-charting, and data analysis; make recommendations to meet product objectives; and conduct workshops to determine and develop improved process engineering, as well as prepare presentations.
  • Lead programs across multiple streams of work simultaneously while balancing the business, client, and regulatory needs versus budgetary pressures.
  • Empower team members and functional partners to succeed and deliver value-added solutions to the business.
