The Epic HIM Analyst will lead data conversion projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance in Epic enhancements while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Superlanet is seeking an experienced Epic HIM / Data Conversion Analyst to support high-impact Community Connect initiative, including Epic implementations, upgrades, and optimization efforts. This is a part-time engagement, ideal for a consultant who can provide targeted expertise in data migration, legacy system conversion, and HIM workflows while supporting a phased implementation and go-live strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Epic HIM and Data Conversion activities across implementations and upgrades
- Lead and execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from legacy systems into Epic
- Validate and reconcile migrated data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Collaborate with HIM, clinical, and revenue cycle stakeholders to define data mapping and conversion requirements
- Analyze legacy data structures and translate them into Epic-compatible formats
- Support chart conversion, document imaging, and record retention workflows
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies through root cause analysis and remediation plans
- Develop and execute test plans for data conversion, including unit, integrated, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Participate in cutover planning, go-live support, and post-go-live validation
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA and data governance standards throughout the conversion lifecycle
- Document conversion processes, data mappings, and validation outcomes
- 5+ years of experience
- Hands-on experience with Epic data conversion tools and methodologies
- Strong understanding of HIM workflows, including chart completion, release of information, and document management
- Experience with data mapping, ETL processes, and data validation techniques
- Ability to work with large datasets and legacy healthcare systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally
- Epic certification in HIM, Data Courier, or related modules
- Experience supporting Epic implementations or major upgrades
- Familiarity with SQL, data querying, or reporting tools
- Experience with document imaging systems and chart abstraction
- Background in healthcare compliance and data governance frameworks
Benefits
Part time hourly rate based on experience and qualifications. $75.00 - $85.00+
