Utilizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), EM Utilities Lab Technicians are responsible for performing all utility system sampling as well as a variety of sampling activities in the Grade C and D controlled areas of the facility, and other duties as assigned.
What You Will Achieve
Personnel must be able to pass and maintain department training. Good aseptic technique, sampling technique, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), teamwork, and maintaining a safe working environment are expected. In addition to performance of routine monitoring, EM Utility Lab Technicians will be responsible for overall operation of the laboratory including stocking of supplies, preparation of equipment, routine sanitation activities, and overall lab upkeep.
How You Will Achieve It
  • Perform routine environmental monitoring tasks for the Non-Aseptic Grade C and D controlled areas and plant utility systems following specified instructions and techniques from Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Training Material, and other GMP documents.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in a GMP compliant and safe manner.
  • Document all tasks within MODA, LIMS, or standard laboratory paper documentation utilizing GDP principles.
  • Partner and communicate with operations, validations, and other site departments as required for support of sampling and GMP processes.
  • Actively participate in daily and weekly laboratory meetings.
  • Accurately complete task management tools and handover communications.
  • Perform general lab tasks including cleaning and equipment preparation
  • Perform SOP updates and other projects as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Maintain training for all required tasks.

Qualifications
Must-Have
  • Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills and computer skills such as data entry, along with a high level of attention to detail.
  • A demonstrated ability to organize time independently, be able to perform several tasks concurrently (ability to multi-task) and be able to meet objectives in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must maintain gowning qualification

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Long periods of standing and working in controlled environment gowning.
  • Ability to lift necessary equipment (less than 50 lbs), occasional reaching and bending may be required.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, data analysis, and data entry. Extended time working on computers or tablets may be required.
  • Able to ability to achieve and maintain gowning qualifications
  • Maintains a clean and organized environment

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
This role is day shift, Monday - Friday, with required Saturday - Sunday water sampling coverage every 3rd rotating week for a max of 6 hours per weekend.

The salary for this position ranges from $20.61 to $34.35 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company's policies.
