We’re looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join Snap Inc! As a member of the Global Security team, you will implement Occupational Safety & Health, Fire & Life Safety, and Environmental Compliance programs. You’ll collaborate with various teams, such as Security, Legal, People, Spectacles and Workplace Services, to implement programs that will help manage Snap's EHS risks at the Chandler location. 

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with site leadership and partners across the organization, including HR, Finance, IT, Spectacles, and Legal, to develop and implement EHS programs, policies, and procedures.

  • Work with site EHS Manager to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state environmental and occupational safety and health standards by performing EHS compliance assessments and implementing corrective actions as needed.

  • Coordinate and support EH&S regulatory agency inspections.

  • Inspect the workplace for hazards, assess risks and work with appropriate teams to mitigate identified risks 

  • Develop and deliver EHS training content at the site level.

  • Respond to and investigate emergencies, incidents, and accidents.

  • Manage emergency procedures and coordinate emergency response teams.

  • Track and report on EHS key performance indicators.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of emergency planning, Fire & Life Safety, manufacturing safety, machine safety, injury and illness prevention, contractor safety, and waste program management.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and coordinate effectively with internal staff, employee representatives, and external consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving proficiencies, coupled with the capacity to operate effectively under pressure, meeting stringent deadlines and adapting to evolving priorities.

  • A self-motivated and results-oriented work ethic, and the ability to perform tasks and duties with limited supervision.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence individuals at all levels of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor's degree in an EHS-focused discipline or equivalent years of experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing and/or a cleanroom environment

  • Knowledge and experience with ISO 14001

  • Related professional certification (e.g., ASP)

  • Working knowledge of environmental health & safety regulations, e.g OSHA

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $89,000-$133,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $85,000-$126,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $76,000-$113,000 annually.
