Seneca Holdings is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to define and drive the company’s technology vision and strategy. This role partners with business and technology leaders to translate business priorities into an aligned architecture across applications, data, integrations, identity, and cloud infrastructure delivering scalable, secure, modern solutions.
The Enterprise Architect assesses the current environment, identifies gaps, and builds a future-state architecture and technical roadmap aligned with long-term business goals. The role stays current on emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to inform strategic direction and continuously improve the organization’s technology posture.
Summary of Location and Hours:
- Hybrid Position – on site in Chantilly Virginia and telework as directed.
- Monday – Friday approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST. Most services are provided during normal business hours. That said, Seneca Holdings and its subsidiaries supports employees and locations worldwide, in many time zones. Planned and unplanned work schedules to include nights and weekends may be necessary. Requirements for on-call support coverage and working hours are also possible.
Responsibilities include, however, are not limited to:
- Partner with business and technology leaders to develop a strong understanding of the company’s business strategy, operating model, and stakeholder priorities.
- Drive enterprise-wide technology strategy and initiatives across business applications, data, integrations, identity, security, and cloud infrastructure.
- Assess current state, identify architectural gaps, and develop future-state enterprise architecture and technical roadmap. Roadmap will align with business objectives and be prioritized based on business value, architectural impact, and enterprise risk.
- Act as a trusted advisor on technology direction, tradeoffs, and architectural risk.
- Architect end-to-end enterprise solutions that support scalability, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Define and maintain enterprise architecture principles, standards, and reference architectures.
- Stay current with emerging technology trends, including AI/ML, automation, and cloud-native architectures. Evaluate and make recommendations on new technology that can drive operational efficiency and create competitive advantage.
- Ensure architected solutions comply with industry-specific standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, CMMC).
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or senior technical leadership roles.
- Strong experience designing architectures in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience with cloud-native architectural patterns (APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures).
- Strong executive communication and influence skills.
- Proven ability to translate business strategy into enterprise-level technical architecture.
- Experience creating enterprise roadmaps, standards, and reference architectures.
- Familiarity with regulated or compliance-driven environments; experience with CMMC is desirable.

- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect
- IT Governance and Master Data Management experience
