Enterprise Account Executive, New Business Development

Affiliate Marketing / MarTech — Acceleration Partners

LOCATION

This is a remote, work-from-home role, as are all positions at Acceleration Partners, a structure central to our culture and our vision to change the work/life paradigm. Some travel is required for client meetings, internal meetings, conferences, and other events. Applicants can be based in the US, UK, Germany.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a hunter to drive new client acquisition for our Affiliate Marketing & Influencer Services. This is a new business development role built for someone who thrives on opening doors: sourcing opportunities, building relationships with enterprise decision-makers, and running a deal from first contact through close. Our marketing team generates inbound leads and our sales support team provides collateral and financial modeling, but the right candidate won't wait for leads to come to them.

This role is built around a team-based selling model. You bring the opportunity in the door, qualify it, and manage the relationship and the process; our strategy and account management teams build the narrative, the strategic recommendation, and lead the pitch delivery. You're the connective tissue between the prospect and our experts, and the role suits driven, relationship-first sellers who want to sell alongside a strong internal team rather than carry the full strategic load alone.

TOP 5 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. New Business Development: Proactively source and build your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, industry relationships, and strategic networking, in addition to working inbound leads. You are a hunter first, and pipeline generation is the core measure of this role.
  2. Deal Management & Sales Process Ownership: Own large, complex deals ($500K+ annual contract value) from first contact through close, managing the timeline and multiple decision-makers across marketing, ecommerce, finance, and executive leadership.
  3. Discovery & Qualification: Ask the right questions to understand each prospect's business, priorities, and buying process well enough to qualify the opportunity and brief our strategy team.
  4. Orchestrating the Pitch: Bring in our strategy and account management teams at the right points in the sales cycle to build and deliver the narrative, the strategic recommendation, and the RFP response. Your job is to set the stage, make introductions, prep the room, and coordinate the team so the pitch lands.
  5. Pipeline Discipline & Market Awareness: Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene and accurate forecasting, and stay current on the Affiliate & Influencer Marketing space well enough to prospect credibly and know when to loop in strategy.

WHAT YOU BRING

Enterprise Sales Experience

  • Demonstrated track record of closing large enterprise deals, $500K+ in annual contract value
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles across marketing, ecommerce, and executive functions, without needing to own the strategic pitch personally
  • Experience selling into marketing or ecommerce departments at large enterprise companies; experience selling into large retailers is a strong plus

Hunter Mentality

  • Proven ability to source your own opportunities through outbound prospecting: cold outreach, industry events, LinkedIn, and relationship-based selling
  • Self-starter who doesn't rely solely on inbound leads, and is resilient and persistent about opening new doors

Digital Marketing Working Knowledge

  • General familiarity with the digital marketing space, enough to prospect credibly and hold an intelligent first conversation; deep strategic expertise isn't required, since that lives with our strategy and account management teams
  • Affiliate / Influencer marketing knowledge is a plus, not a requirement

Technical & Tools Proficiency

  • Salesforce, required; HubSpot an advantage
  • AI fluency, including using AI tools to work smarter in prospecting, research, and pipeline management
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Collaborative, Team-Based Selling

  • Genuine comfort handing off the strategic narrative to internal experts, and strong ability to coordinate across strategy, account management, and delivery teams in a fully remote environment
  • Skilled at reading a room well enough to know when to bring in an expert, and disciplined enough to prep that expert properly beforehand

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of digital marketing or marketing services sales experience
  • Demonstrated experience closing enterprise deals of $500K+ ACV
  • Experience selling into marketing and/or ecommerce departments at large enterprise or retail brands
  • Proven track record of outbound pipeline generation
  • Salesforce required; HubSpot an advantage
  • A genuine interest in AI tools, including hands-on experience integrating AI into your work
  • Must be based in the US, UK, Germany.
  • Ability to travel when and where required

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

By 3 Months… You're fully up to speed on Acceleration Partners' value proposition, services, and sales process, and on how the handoff to strategy and account management works. You've built an active outbound pipeline, are engaging multiple enterprise prospects, and know when and how to bring in the strategy team.

By 1 Year… You've closed multiple enterprise deals. Prospects consistently move smoothly from your first conversation into a strong strategy pitch, and the strategy and account management teams see you as a reliable partner who sets them up to win.
