This role plays a critical part in supporting the organization’s evolution toward a more software-centric delivery model, while continuing to deliver high-quality audio tuning and technical services to customers worldwide.
The Engineering Operations Leader is responsible for orchestrating complex, multi-program delivery across global teams, ensuring predictable execution, transparent communication, and strong alignment between engineering, business development, and executive leadership. The ideal candidate combines operational rigor, customer-centricity, and software delivery experience, and is comfortable managing dynamic priorities across dozens of active programs.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Delivery Leadership
- Provide end-to-end oversight of customer-focused project delivery across multiple time zones and global geographies.
- Lead and scale a global team of program managers, while coordinating with specialized engineers delivering audio software, tuning, and related technical services.
- Drive the organization’s transition toward a software-focused delivery model, applying best practices in software program execution, planning, and lifecycle management.
- Establish and continuously improve delivery processes, metrics, and operating rhythms that enable predictable execution across a diverse portfolio of software- and services-based programs.
Cross-Functional Engineering Operations
- Partner closely with multiple engineering functions to manage dynamic priorities, resource constraints, and interdependencies across dozens of concurrent customer programs.
- Translate customer and business commitments into clear, executable plans that balance software development timelines, service delivery needs, technical feasibility, and capacity.
- Proactively identify delivery risks and bottlenecks, particularly within software development and integration efforts, and drive mitigation plans in collaboration with engineering leaders.
Executive & Business Reporting
- Provide regular, structured reporting to executive leadership on program status, delivery health, risks, and progress against project and revenue attainment goals.
- Ensure data-driven visibility into portfolio performance, including schedule adherence, utilization, delivery efficiency, and forecast accuracy.
Customer Engagement & Expectation Management
- Lead or support customer-facing meetings, acting as a trusted operational partner who anchors discussions in realistic, data-backed assessments of organizational capabilities, schedules, and tradeoffs.
- Demonstrate strong customer-centricity by ensuring customer commitments are met while protecting delivery quality and long-term scalability.
- Drive clear, proactive communication with customers throughout the program lifecycle, from early engagement through delivery and completion.
Business Development Partnership
- Work closely with Business Development and internal stakeholders to support early-stage customer engagements.
- Provide scope, schedule, and resource estimates for initial project proposals during Vision and Ideation phases, with a strong emphasis on software development and delivery considerations.
- Help shape engagement models that align customer needs with evolving software capabilities, delivery capacity, and long-term business objectives.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience leading engineering operations, program management, or delivery organizations, with significant exposure to software development and delivery.
- Demonstrated success overseeing global teams across US, China/APAC and EU and delivering complex, customer-facing programs across multiple regions and time zones.
- Experience managing or supporting delivery of software-centric technologies, ideally including audio software, signal processing, tuning tools, or embedded software platforms.
- Strong executive communication skills, with experience presenting program status, delivery performance, and revenue forecasts to senior leadership.
- Track record of effective cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product, and business development organizations.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, particularly those undergoing a transition toward more scalable, software-driven delivery models.
