Job Description

Kraft Heinz is looking for an Engineering Manager who supervises Capex staff by determining workloads and schedules; develops, interprets and implements policies and procedures. The role is responsible for leading capital project execution, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, maintaining compliance with safety and quality requirements, and driving performance through effective planning, budgeting, and resource management to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Capex staff by determining workloads and schedules; develops, interprets and implements policies and procedures and ensure they reach their full potential on a continues improvement environment.

  • Manage all required techniques of building and fabric maintenance, and equipment calibration

  • Monitor and participates in operations in assigned sections including inspecting projects, developing and implementing modifications and improvements, recommending specifications and scheduling for contracts, negotiating prices and inspecting contractor’s work to ensure that safe work practices and standard operating procedures are followed.

  • Provide information related to projects including resolving problems, handling complaints and providing technical expertise

  • To ensure that safety, quality, cost and productivity is continuously reached and improved, following the company culture and standards.

  • Discuss with management, engineering, and relative departments to resolve problems.

  • Participate in all projects of enhancing the productivity and overcome obstacles of production lines.

  • From a strategic point of view collaborate and propose ideas of improvement for all the factory including utilities.

  • Assure the implementation of policies, procedures, and work instructions

  • To manage the site’s capex budget to achieve the objectives YOY

  • Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards regarding safety, health and environmental protection

  • Carry out management appraisal and development of direct reports in line with business objectives and promote good team working principles across engineering and production areas.

  • Support continuous improvement activity such as Playbook and be the champion for positive change for the engineering function.

  • Main Accountability:

  • As Engineering Manager ensure the compliance with the capex plan for the factory, managing the resources to maximize the number of projects to implement in a proper manner from Safety, FSQ, budget and performance point of view following the company and engineering Playbook standards.

  • Ensure a correct and complete project handover from engineering perspective to the rest of the departments in the factory

  • This duty may involve miscellaneous functions such as analyzing, investigating and preparing facilities studies relative to plant areas, machinery and equipment cost and recommending proper machines to be purchased.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering: Mechanical or Electrical field)

  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in the same filed – preferable in FMCG

  • Safety practices and principles related to maintenance activities Corrective and Preventive Maintenance

  • Excellent Command of both Spoken and written Arabic and English
