About the role

We’re seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a highly experienced team in building best-in-class customer experiences across Point’s multi-product platform. You’ll set and drive the technical vision and strategy, leveraging Generative and Agentic AI to deliver personalized experiences that delight customers. Partnering closely with Product, Design, Data, and Operations, you’ll align engineering execution with business goals while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. This role is ideal for a people-first leader who thrives at the intersection of engineering leadership, AI innovation, and measurable customer impact.

Your responsibilities

  • People Leadership & Team Development – Hire, mentor, and retain top talent while fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Architecture & Technical Strategy – Define and execute technical strategy, guide architectural decisions, and actively contribute to technical outcomes to ensure excellence.
  • Execution & Operational Excellence – Drive predictable delivery and establish scalable processes that balance speed, quality, and business impact.
  • Product Partnership & Customer Impact – Collaborate with Product to shape the roadmap, enable rapid experimentation, and deliver scalable, customer-first solutions.
  • Culture & Ways of Working – Promote clear communication, cross-team alignment, and best practices that drive continuous improvement.

About you

  • 8+ years of software engineering and  2+ years of engineering management experience, leading teams in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience with leveraging Generative and Agentic AI and/or  machine learning to enhance customer experiences.
  • Proven ability to drive rapid experimentation, embrace a fail-fast mindset, and iterate quickly based on data and feedback.
  • Strong technical acumen—comfortable discussing architecture and trade-offs, and contributing hands-on when needed.
  • A collaborative and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to align engineering with business objectives.
  • Experience in fintech, proptech, or a data-heavy industry is a plus but not required.

In addition, employees also receive 4 weeks of fully paid transition time, during which you may work 2–3 days per week while receiving full base pay.

Compensation at Point will be determined by skills, experience, and geographic location. Point has identified the expected annual base salary for this role at this level based on the market by tiers (Region | Location | Market Salary):

  • Tier 1 | San Francisco Bay Area, New York, Los Angeles, & Seattle | $174,300 - $235,800
  • Tier 2 | Chicago, Austin, Denver, Boston, Washington DC, San Diego | $147,900 - $200,100
  • Tier 3 | All other US metro areas | $139,400 - $188,600

This does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, including equity, benefits, and perks outlined above. At the launch of each position, we benchmark compensation to the appropriate role and level utilizing competitive compensation data from various data sources as references. At the offer stage, we use the signal we received from our interviews, coupled with your experience, location, and other job-related factors, to determine final compensation.


Location Requirement: This is a remote position. However, candidates must reside in one of Point’s states of operation: AL, AZ, AR, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, KS, KY, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NV, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, or WA.
