Prismatic is the integration platform purpose-built for B2B software companies that need to deliver integrations at scale. We're turning integrations from a product bottleneck into a growth driver for hundreds of companies, from high-growth startups to Fortune 500s.

Our platform handles everything that breaks at scale—authentication, deployment, monitoring, scaling, and security—so companies can ship integrations, not infrastructure. With flexible building blocks including code-native integrations, low-code tools, and an embedded workflow builder, we enable companies to build once, deploy to many, and deliver reliable integration experiences that drive revenue growth.

We're well-funded with strong product-market fit, growing rapidly while maintaining the scrappy, high-agency culture that got us here.

About the role:

We're an integration tool built by engineers for engineers coming off a strong 2024. As we continue to expand, we need to add an additional Engineering Manager. This role reports to our VP of Engineering. As an Engineering Manager at Prismatic, you'll lead the work on features that impact thousands of customers globally, shaping how integrations are built. You'll lead and grow a high-velocity team and culture.

Prismatic is built primarily in TypeScript, using Python and Django on the backend and React on the frontend. We build a sophisticated Low-Code integration builder for users who want a WYSIWYG interface, as well as an SDK and tools for building integrations fully in TypeScript. Additionally, we provide features for powering the AI Agent functionality of our customers.

We're looking for you to apply your experience within this environment and make a meaningful impact on our codebase. You'll participate in technical decision-making and planning while helping our engineering team grow their capabilities.

What you will do:

  • Manage a team of experienced software engineers and help them do their best work
  • Drive technical architecture decisions and code quality standards across multiple product areas
  • Define and track engineering velocity metrics while keeping quality high
  • Write project planning docs and partner with Product Management on roadmaps
  • Work closely with Customer Success and Sales Engineering teams so we build what customers actually need
  • Hire great engineers and build a high-trust, high-autonomy team culture
  • Give regular, honest feedback on performance and help people level up
  • Stay technical and contribute to the codebase when it makes sense

About you:

  • You've moved from being a strong engineer to leading engineering teams successfully
  • You have solid experience with at least one area of our tech stack (TypeScript, Python/Django, React)
  • You've managed remote teams and know how to build culture when everyone's distributed
  • You're great at written and verbal communication (this matters a lot in remote work)
  • You've managed teams in high-performance environments and know how to keep velocity high
  • You thrive on accountability and have a bias toward action
  • You genuinely want to help people grow and believe teams win together

Bonus if you have experience with/in:

  • Integration platforms, workflow automation, or AI-powered developer tools
  • B2B SaaS products with external-facing APIs or integration components
  • AI-enabled software development
  • Kanban processes
  • Developer-facing products and tools

Our tech stack:

  • Cloud - AWS
  • Databases - Postgres, Redis
  • Backend API - Python & Django
  • Backend Integration Platform - Typescript
  • Frontend - Typescript & React
  • SDKs - Typescript

Pay range:

  • The pay range for this role is $185,000 - $200,000/yr USD
Life at PrismaticOur Values

Our values shape everything we do—how we make decisions, collaborate, and operate day to day.

  • Give a Shit – We bring passion and drive to our work. We believe what we're doing matters and we treat it that way.
  • Progress Over Perfection – We value daily progress, moving fast, and iterating. We prefer a good solution now over a perfect one later.
  • Same Team – We recognize that we succeed or fail as a group and help each other out. We don't tolerate assholes.
What to expect at Prismatic

We operate with urgency, ownership, and high standards. You'll be joining a team that's highly engaged, customer-obsessed, and constantly solving new problems that help B2B software companies scale their integration strategies.

To support this pace, we're also intentional about sustainability. We offer comprehensive benefits, unlimited PTO, and top-tier equipment for remote work. That said, if you're optimizing for predictable 9-5 schedules, this high-velocity environment may not be the right fit. We want every team member to thrive—not just survive.

Benefits

🏡 Remote work: Our team works remotely across the US; we travel together 2x times a year for company kick-offs and mid-year meetings.
🏖️ Unlimited PTO: We have an unlimited & flexible paid time off (PTO) policy that encourages our team to recharge when they need to.
🏥 Medical, dental & vision: Prismatic offers high-quality medical (Cigna Medical), dental (Guardian Dental) and vision (VSP) care for full-time employees and their dependents.
🛡️ Life insurance: We provide company-paid life insurance, short-term disability insurance, and long-term disability insurance through Guardian.
🏦 401(k): Our 401(k) plan is through Guideline with 4% company match - 100% of the first 3% and 50% of the next 2%.
💻 Computer & technology equipment: We provide the equipment you need to do your best work, applicable to your role + $1k new hire setup stipend.

Ready to Help Turn Integrations Into Growth Drivers?

We want diverse perspectives and experiences. If this role excites you but you're not sure you check every box, apply anyway. We consider every application thoughtfully and will either move forward with you, connect you with another team that might be a better fit, or keep in touch for future opportunities.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
